The guy in the glasses in the gymnasium who says ... "I'm sorry....you're just too darn loud." While Marty's band was playing The Power of Love guitar solo part, was Huey Lewis himself....from Huey Lewis and The News....and he wrote the song!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 so funny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Michael J Fox probably DID sleep in some weird positions. While filming BTTF, he was also filming the TV series Family Ties. That's why the movie has so many night time and interior scenes. He would tape Family Ties during the day, and film BTTF ( mostly) at night after finishing the TV show. You MUST do the entire trilogy! It's one great story arc.

In the 1980's suburbia, things were "safer." Malls usually closed by 8 or 9 o'clock, and not many people were on the streets, especially after midnight.

The standing in front of the time machine at the beginning always gets me. Because the doc reacts as if he's never seen the time machine work before, but has himself and Marty stand in the path of a speeding car that may or may not disappear. I'd love to see a version where the docs calculations are off and the car hits them just before going forward in time.
@Someinsanegenuis

I often wondered myself why he would stand in the path, when he never tested it. I think the Doc we see at start, has allrdy meet Marty in 1955, so he knows it will work.

Vanessa, please lay off gun people :) Thanks. If you're in the mood for 80s movies, I recommend Red Dawn (1984) I don't own a gun but I fully support people that do. If I were more responsible I would have at least one. I've seen memes that say something like "There are 80 million gun owners in the United States, if we were the problem, you'd know it." which is absolutely true. I've seen memes with timelines that show several countries disarming their population that leads to mass genocide (that I haven't fact checked) but I know is true for Germany. The places with the most gun regulations have the highest violent crime rates. People act like you can't fight a government with tanks using rifles, then the US sends rifles to the Ukraine to defend itself from Russia. It's also not the point. You obviously can't beat a tank with an AR15. It's the fact that the government doesn't want a war with its own population. A disarmed populace can't resist. You don't need a gun to kill people. If you don't believe me look up the UK and China's stabbings problem. You can also take out a crowd pretty quickly with a vehicle. Guns help women because it's an equalizer.
@trentb3148
@trentb3148 Жыл бұрын
I hope you know that statistics completely disagree with just about everything you said. The US has murder rates comparable with third world countries. The US government doesn't need to disarm the populace, because if the government became corrupt enough, it's been shown a certain segment of the population can be propagandized into turning those guns on their political opponents. That's what fascists do. That's why Nazi Germany loosened gun regulations (for non-Jews). They knew they could get the citizenry to use those firearms to kill and intimidate Jews. So, you know, maybe get your facts from something other than alt-right memes.

Welcome to a perfect trilogy! 😁 What makes this movie timeless (😉), it's not about tec stuff but about family and friendship. And it's full of little details and easter eggs! For example: one of the many clocks in Doc's garage is in the shape of a clock tower with a little man hanging on it, just like Doc later in the movie. This is a hommage to the silent movie "Safety last!" from 1923 with Harold Lloyd. And Christopher Lloyd is the name of the actor who played Doc Brown. 🤯 The name of the mall changed into "Lone Pine Mall". And so on.... 😉 Have fun with part 2 and 3!
@asterix7842
@asterix7842 Жыл бұрын
Two things I’ve never noticed before- I always thought that the scene near the end of the movie with Doc hanging from the clock was an homage to silent film comedian Harold Lloyd’s famous clock scene in the 1923 film Safety Last. This image at 1:58 confirms it. Also, when Doc says “what on Earth is this thing that I’m wearing?” at 22:38, I think he’s referring to the bullet proof vest.

As for you saying Marty was taking a chance of being robbed going into that parking lot alone in the middle of the night. You say you wouldn't do that because he might get robbed, right? You've got to remember, this was in a small town in 1985. If anyone was awake and waiting for you in that lot, they'd probably jump you and GIVE you money.

There are many many "fun facts" about this movie. The one I find most interesting is the fact that every guitar you hear in this movie is Eddie Van Halen. With the exception of the Huey Lewis songs, every guitar is Eddie. From Marty auditioning for the dance in 1985, to Marty playing with the band in 1955... its all Eddie Van Halen. RIP EVH

Seeing what he looks like in that movie vs this one shows how good the makeup actually is. I had no idea he wasn't actually an old man.

No, of course they didn't have Photoshop back in the '50s. Or desktop computers either (there were video terminals, which were about the size of '80s and '90s desktop computers, but probably most terminals of the time were teleprinters, essentially typewriters equipped with serial connections to the actual computers). But it was still possible to manipulate photographs, using various optical tricks. Not that a photograph like that would even necessarily need to be edited. If you could get three other people to stand in the photo-and get that T-shirt designed and printed, which I guess would have been more expensive, and get the equipment to take and process a color photo, which would definitely be more expensive than it was even in 1985-that would work too.
