And Elsa Lanchester as the bride, so glamorous and bizarre - perfection! I love Mel Bs Young Frankenstein though for the humor, comic talent, and writing, but also the way they play off and honor the originals in lighting, sets, and costumes. Omg I think we just saw Jordan realize in real time that yes, to go “online” (use a modem) in the 80’s we actually had to place our home phone’s handset onto a port 🤦🏼♂️😂😂

Great reaction! Been a long while since I watched this movie, forgot alot of those scenes, felt like watching them for the first time. Fyi, Anthony Michael Hall starred in a film later on in the 80's called "Johnny B Goode". He plays a blue chip high school quarterback getting recruited by several colleges and it gets into the darker side of of athletics, in a way. Not a "reaction worthy" film, really, but I think it would be right up Jay's alley.

Early on I didn't think *Amber* was going to enjoy it since it is kind of a teen male movie, but she warmed up & didn't take it to seriously & just enjoyed it for what it was

Growing up, that bar scene was our favorite as well... recently got a signed pic from Anthony Michael Hall from that bar scene as well from a Comic-Con appearance. 😅

As a soldier who served in a Pershing Missile Battery, I really enjoy the scene where it appears. It was so random. Such a fun flick!

In the 80s we didn't get too bogged down with reality, or to quote Robin Williams "Wow, Reality, What a concept"

I definitely recommend watching "Pretty In Pink" with Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer. An 80's high school classic!! "License To Drive" from 1988 starring The Two Coreys, Corey Haim and Corey Feldmen, ("The Lost Boys" which was one of the first films you saw on your channel) is also a fun 80's high school comedy I know you would enjoy.

Not long after this movie Anthony Michael Hall went on a fitness bender and came out of it more than 50lbs heavier with muscles. It was done natural as he did not trust steroids which were still legal though discouraged. This was one of Robert Downey Jr's first breakout roles. A couple of years later, however he was repeatedly busted for drug use and most in hollywood thought he would be dead by the 90s. Downey Jr cleaned up and went on to being a major star in hollywood.

He was in Edward Scissor Hands too. Anthony Michael Hall is hilarious! Never get tired of this movie. I was a teen and most of the jokes flew right over my head!😂😂😂

That’s the original 1931 Frankenstein but colorized. Boris Karloff played the monster.

❤❤❤❤❤❤ this movie and Im glad you understood the premise. Yes she's a grown woman and looking at it from "today's" PC lense this movie has cringe galore!!! But the point is that she's supposed to be a teen boy's fantasy and Im glad Amber recognized it 👍🏼 and with that enjoyed the movie. That "Oh Gary!!!!" Scene still gets to me! Lol P.S. The reason Lisa can do magic is because of the Houdini input in creating her, to answer Amber's Houdini question. Again ❤ your reactions. 💯

Anthony Michael Hall was in dozens of movies and an excellent series based on a Steven King novel, "Dead Zone". Just 3 years after this he made "Johnny Be Good" about a top college football prospect with a very young Uma Thurmond as his girl friend.

When Amber said at the 8:45 mark, "I'm not trying to understand how it's happening. I'm just going to roll with it" ~ I knew at that point she was going to have a great time watching the rest of the movie..... and when Anthony Michael Hall's character, Gary, got plastered at the bar, there were times I thought Amber was literally going to fall out of the chair she was laughing so hard..... and she completely lost it when Gary said "Well my nutz are halfway up my a$$ but other than that I'm perfect!" So as much as you both laughed and enjoyed this movie as adults, imagine being a 14-year-old boy seeing this for the first time in a packed movie theater! The combination of John Hughes directing and Michael Anthony Hall acting in the mid-1980's was gold; and I don't think there was a teenage boy in 1985 that didn't have a crush on Kelly LeBrock. Between the Woman in Red (1984) and Weird Science (1985) there were a lot of posters sold of her that were hanging on the wall in boy's rooms. I've enjoyed quite a few of your reactions, but honestly, I don't think I've seen the two of you having as much fun as you were having while watching this movie. This reaction was an absolute good time to watch along with.
