It's quite literally not here. Still a dream. They'll be lucky to fly a prototype this year. Super excited, though. Looks great.

The engine shown in the graphics is not the current design. It shows the three combustor cans, but the design changed to an annular combustor long ago.

Thank you so much for your insightful comments! Just to clarify, we're not promoting anything paid here. Instead, we're sharing details about an incredible helicopter that we're eagerly anticipating. Currently, there isn't a lot of reliable information available, and there's some misinformation out there too. Nonetheless, we're rooting for the success of this project and can't wait to see it come to fruition. Here's to hoping we'll soon be able to provide a firsthand review of the actual finished helicopter. This project has us genuinely excited! 🚁

There is no Hill prototype. There are display models, but they don't have engines, so they're not prototypes.

You just published this, and talk about these craft flying in "early 2024"... but it's already early 2024 and Hill has not even built one complete engine yet. Obviously nothing will be flying early this year, and not likely this year at all, so the claim is ridiculous.

Puro digital. No hay un prototipo en vuelo. Un precio para ilusionar a los que no saben nada de helicópteros. Ese HX50 debería costar 1.2 Millones de dólares. Por 600 mil dólares no se compra ni una turbina de buena calidad de 500 HP.

This helicopter has not flown. Probably wont for many years. The engine is nothing knew an will take many more years to certify. I am betting it wont be used in this aircraft. And the kicker of a joke. Selling price $750k. No freaking way. Just a engine from turbomeca or P&W run over $500k
@aviapages10 ай бұрын
Hi @jesuschrist-alphaomega, thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's understandable to have concerns about new aircraft models like the HX50 helicopter. The certification process for aviation technology is indeed rigorous and can take time, especially when introducing new engine technology. The pricing strategy, including the cost of components like engines from reputable manufacturers such as Turbomeca or Pratt & Whitney, is a crucial aspect that manufacturers have to balance carefully to make the aircraft appealing to the market while covering development and production costs. Your skepticism about the selling price and the integration of the engine technology raises valid points. It's important for manufacturers to address these concerns transparently to build trust with potential customers and aviation enthusiasts. We'll have to watch closely how the HX50's development progresses and how these challenges are tackled in the coming years.

It's an in house engine so they can reduce costs and if you watch videos of the engine, it's just an engine and a starter, unlike others that have pumps and the alternator in an accessory gearbox integrated into the engine
@jesuschrist-alphaomega8 ай бұрын
@joaoalegrio6433 thanx for the comment. In-house does not equal reduce cost. A limited run actually drives up cost do to costs applied to purchasing low quantities of raw materials an production runs. Kinda confused to ur statement. All engines need accessories such as fuel controls pumps an engine management systems. Not even talking about the cost of getting FAA certification which can! Cost the same as the cost of manufacturing an engine.
@joaoalegrio64338 ай бұрын
@@jesuschrist-alphaomega it has electronic pumps and fuel management systems and does not buy low quantities of material, as they always want to have parts in stock and the GT50 uses cheap and proven ideas
