Thanks for sharing ! I love my kit bags ! I have over a hundred miles backpacking with mine and they are awesome ! I have the recon model and the snubby kit bag and I prefer the snubby for cycling and hiking. A great concept and an excellent well made product.

takes some getting used to but lower profile than a ribz pack.

I like the idea of a chest bag...not a fan of the long front pocket...I'd like it better if their was 2 side load pockets instead of that top load pocket...I do like that it folds open....the back pocket would be more useful for concealed carry if it was side load from both sides...kind of a slide thru thing....more concealed i think...but quick access...that doesn't make it obvious....

Another very good review and I say that because you always analyse well and clearly. This little bag is very useful but I have to say that it is a very expensive product. For example the condor 2- day assault bag costed me less than $100 and it is about 49 litters. I wish if it comes in lower price and I will buy it.

It looks like a very nice complementary bag. I see that you've also reviewed the Ribz Front Pack. It would have been helpful if you had compared to the two products in the review a little. It's hard to compare the two based on the information at the Hill People Gear website (their website is TERRIBLE ... low tech, 15 year old web design ... and why in god's name do they give a dimensional volume, then specifically tell us that's not the right measurement for volume ... like you would see at ANY other bag website). At the shit Hill People Gear website they list the size as 172.5 cubic inches, then they tell me I'm supposed to take this number and multiply it by ... maybe 1.5 or maybe 1.7 ... to compare it with other bags (it's like they really don't want business). So, this Hill People Gear bag has 2.8L (172.5 cubic inches) times 1.7 equals 4.8L (maybe I was supposed to multiply by 1.5 I wouldn't know, they're literally the experts on bags). The small/medium Ribz is 7L (the larger size is 11L). The Ribz is also about 25% lighter, the Ribz has padded shoulders for increased comfort, and the Ribz is still about $40 cheaper. So, this bag is about 40% more expensive, about 32% smaller, about 40% heavier, and looks less comfortable. By itself the Hill People Gear bag looks fine, when compared to the closest competitor it starts to look pretty weak, but this is all paper stats. I'd love to hear from someone who owns both (hint hint).
@livingsurvival8 жыл бұрын
+zero11010 the hpg is more comfortable overall but i like the front zip on the ribz. I've used the ribz for fishing and light hiking away from camp and like that. I have both the small/medium and large ribz and this would compare to the large in fit and comfort. Something about the small ribz just doesn't fit right on me. I like the HPG much more for my concealed carry, in the ribz it just sits there and doesn't work real well. Both are quality and a good buy. I wear the HPG more if that says anything.
@zero110108 жыл бұрын
Living Survival Awesome. Thanks! Good info! Would love to get more comparison type information in your reviews in the future. You have a great wealth of information on your channel and a lot of gear/experience. It can be hard for viewers to listen to each of your well thought out videos and compare things in their head. Especially because your review style is mostly positive (which I like). If you really like everything, it's hard to know where everything stands compared to everything else.
@livingsurvival8 жыл бұрын
zero11010 Very true, I will keep that in mind. I generally only show stuff that makes the grade but always show any negatives. Products I dislike or have too many negatives I just don't waste the time.
