Short term is more expensive because it's used way more often by people who buy it (and they're more likely to approve it), and a lot of the time people buy it because they know they're going to have surgery or something like that I wish there were a good guide for people with chronic health issues because i used up all my sick pay and there are a bunch of exclusions and punitive waiting periods if you don't apply at the right time, plus they say they calculate earnings based on your recent work which might mean your income would be lower if you missed work? I can't even find docs for the language of my policy. It's crazy

I had trouble getting to see doctor through occupational accident for almost a year got taken off through covid and now I can’t draw the short term so if you have problems getting someone you work for to give you the info you need to be seen call workers comp so the ball will get rolling to get someone on the ball so you won’t get messed up like me now I’m looking at bankruptcy because it took to long to get someone to help me

I was injured on my job. I got shots. But they have since worn out. Gonna need more. Can I go out on short term disability. My case is still open my employer said.

I have been on disability since the age of 8.I also receive medicare that covers my medical and prescriptions. I dream of finding a way out of this and be self supporting but need medical and pharmaceutical. Do you or anyone know of anyway to do this? So many are wanting on Social Security and I just want to be independent and not so horribly poor.
