Love listening and watching you perform. I am African American, born in Louisiana. Precious memories come to me as I listen and watch you dance. In the early 1950’s I watched Grand Ole Opry with my parents. As a child I fell in love with the violin/fiddle and the dance. My father, to my delight, would often stand up and dance. My mom was blessed also. Her father played his fiddle at “White People’s parties” in rural Louisiana until his death in 1839. Once mom returned to the living room with 2 spoons. She learned this from that time. I knew that I was gaining awareness of a part of my culture and a very important time in our history. I was the last generation born in LA and due to the Great Migration after WWII, moved to CA when Industry assured jobs for these Heroes. Dad worked in the Steel Industry until he retired in 1971. I miss my precious parents so much! Thank you Ms Hillary Klung, and God Bless You❤️😍🙏🏼🎻🎼
