Adrian. I work in a cancer hospital and it's not something to joke about or take lightly. Additionally, I train and run marathons year round. If I wanna have biscuits and gravy after one, thats my business. Not his entire channel is processed foods, a lot of it is barbecue and southern style recipes. He actually goes in depth and reads ingredient lists pointing out the poor quality and lack of value in processed foods in more videos than not. Life is a balancing act and you... well, you're just a trolling asshole. If you don't like the content get off the channel ✌
@adrianb84464 жыл бұрын
Sam Sam exactly it isn’t something to take lightly. More than not cancer is linked to diet. Southern style recipes and barbecue? That’s more processed meat garbage that comes from factory farms where the animal is under enormous stress and that is cooked at dangerously high temperatures. You shouldn’t be eating meat unless it’s grass feed organic meat.
@samandsymone4 жыл бұрын
@@adrianb8446 Jesus Christ you have no idea what a southern style diet is. You're picturing a Lousiana style junk food diet. Just because I eat southern cooking doesn't mean I eat processed meat. You can BBQ/ grill an organic chicken breast too. Clearly you aren't from the south because the locals here know how to cook a hearty meal fresh off the farm. I actually worked at a local farm for 3 years in college. The meat and eggs we had were much fresher than any of your organic bullshit from Walmart. By the way, you want grass fed and grass FINISHED. This reminds me a lot of what I call "mountain man breakfast" which is something I make in a dutch oven while camping. You start off by browning breakfast sausage, and transfer it out and saute some onions, peppers, and mushrooms, and then transfer them out too. Then you go ahead and cook some hashbrowns/cubed potatoes until crispy, add your sausage and veggies, give it a good mix, and add in some raw eggs, preferably scrambled, and top with cheese. You then bake it until the cheese is caramelized and the eggs are done. It feeds a lot of people and is extremely delicious.

This Meal is Awesome. Instead of Bologna I used Hillshire farm andouille sausage, the instant potatoes were 4 cheese and I used sharp cheese as a mix and a topping. Love this channel! Keep up the good work.

Years ago, somebody suggested we have fried bologna sandwiches on toasted bread, and I thought it sounded so gross- but then when we made them up, they were actually really delicious ;)

With a slice of cheese laid on the bologna after you turn it over in the pan and it gets all melty.

Gwaltney's cheap meats are legit good. I buy 'em all the time. This sounds like a dish I could really enjoy! Thanks for the suggestion! (I'd be inclined to add some celery to the onion and bell pepper, to complete the Holy Trinity!)

Here an italian speaker.....The italian real name of Bologna is "Mortadella", Bologna is the most famous city in which the Mortadella is made, and the pronunciation is Boloña, so it's not G-N but a type of sound the anglophone are not used to....

That looks oh so yummy! I am going to have to try it. We make something kind of similar. We make bologna cups. I take a baking sheet, add the bologna then add a dollop of mashed potatoes on top, I use garlic mashed and then top with a slice of cheese. The bologna cups while cooking hence the "bologna cup" part. We also usually use the 'broil' while doing this, but add the cheese towards the end so it doesn't get overcooked.

I'm fortunate enough to be in a position that I can afford to spend a little more on my groceries and can use better quality ingredients, that said, I think it's great that you are teaching people how to eat on a budget. I often find myself cooking very similar recipes to what you present because they are not only reasonably priced but tasty as well. I commend you on your efforts to help people get by in what are for many difficult times.

we do something similar with potatoes, left over meat and veg, then make little divets in the mix after putting it in the casserole dish. Crack an egg in each divet and cover with cheese (crumbled bacon is good too if you have any left over from breakfast). Bake and enjoy. It's a great way to stretch left overs and it's good for any meal, even breakfast. Served on lettuce or with a big salad makes a great supper or dinner.

My family's made something similarish to this all my life called beetle hats. You fry up your (preferably thick-sliced) bologna but let it curl up into a sort of cup or bowl. Put your instant potatoes on top, then top it off with whatever kind of cheese you want, be it a slice of american or shredded whatever you have on hand. Melt the cheese either in the oven or even the microwave and you're good to go.

I'd also add carrot, celery, and sage. Bet a can of cream of mushroom soup'd be good too. Maybe some of those fried onions what go atop Thanksgiving GB casserole. Some Bacon bits. Powdered chicken stock instead of salt. It would have been sliceable had the eggs been put in before baking.

I am glad you use butter and lard, much healthier than most oils, and certainly better than Crisco! I use olive and avocado oil, as well as coconut, nothing else. Except peanut oil to deep fry the turkey. Here is a great easy recipes: one Gwaltney hot roll sausage, you can use Jimmy Dean hot sausage, but I prefer Gwaltney. Break up and fry the sausage. Take 2 cups of a wild rice mix, cook with water, 3 cups. When it is close to being done add a can of mushroom soup and stir everything together and heat through. It is delicious. You can easily add onions, bell peppers, or celery for extra nutrition and crunchiness, add milk if it seemed too dry.
