Hilliard Davidson Virtual Choir "Over The Rainbow/What a Wonderful World"

Initially, I had reservations about creating a virtual choir-mainly because you can’t truly recreate a choir virtually. Choir is about the people. The people who cheerfully greet you everyday as you walk into the choir hall. The people you look forward to seeing for 48 minutes and who become lifelong friends. The people you are emotionally and musically in sync with as you perform moving choral works like Eric Whitacre’s “Sleep” or Andrea Ramsey’s “Hate Has No Home Here.” The people you spend countless hours with at after-school rehearsals. The people you consider family. Choir is a family, and even though it is not the same, I wanted to sing with my family one last time this year.
