Crikey, this one was an emotional rollercoaster I was not prepared for. You didn't fail, the profession failed you, you could even be too empathic for such an emotionally draining job, that is not a fault on your part. Incredible ride too, and even after all those miles and hills, you looked completely fine like you'd just nipped to the shops, I'd be on oxygen in the broom wagon.

The more you share your experiences out loud i.e like via your videos, the more you keep your experiences close, serving as a reminder of how things were and how far you've actually come. I can relate to the feelings you've felt in the past maybe not to the same extent, but my anxiety has been my enemy for years. Struggled with self doubt, self worth and those not good enough issues for a lifetime. Got my biggest Audax this weekend and for the last few days those doubts and fears are getting louder. I'm lining up for Derby Dales 168 km and I'm bricking it! Thanks for keeping things real Amy. 🙂👍🚴

Aye, lass! They mek them sheep big up 'ere! Some incredible Yorkshire scenes there, great work! Amy, as so many others have said here - your honesty and relative vulnerability to discuss MH so openly and the challenges, some darker than others, that many people go through is so empowering. I have no doubt the way you approach it and the positive way you talk about these things will help other people too. I hope opening up on here helps you. Having worked as a clinician in the NHS for nearly a decade I can relate to the pressures of healthcare and I think you must have made absolutely the right decision to step away - don't doubt yourself there. Many awesome people realise it isn't right for them and that doesn't mean they aren't good enough. Some of the strongest, most selfless people I've worked with have found other careers. Love the Audax rides you're posting, and it's inspiring me to push the distance out a little more! This channel is up there with the best for decent cycling content without the BS. Enjoy!!

Love your videos Amy, inspires me to get out on my bike. Far from being a failure it takes strength to leave behind something that is no longer serving you

Fantastic work Amy. Your instagram and KZbin are awesome and have inspired me to drag my backside and bike out again and get pedaling. I’m a long way from the distances that you achieve but it all counts. Keep smiling and cycling Amy, you’re awesome.
