if you go through gamestop all you have to pay is the $15 grading fee per card, no shipping fee, its pretty neat

What about the other costs associated with it. sending and return shipping, PSA premium, sales tax? Of course these are unrealized gains do you have to pay tax on profit once sold? How many of these cards won't sell? What are your costs when selling?

He’s just showing his pokemon equity. Obviously if he sells you can take off 20% off for selling/shipping fees

Informative video. Works only If you have a good platform to reaell, especially for grades lower than 9, where you have a hard time getting fmv in a reasonable time. Would love to see follow-up when all slabs are sold for exact sales data and breakdowns

Just wait till you get pack fresh cards back graded as a PSA 8 with 0 reasoning as to why and are just told you have to pay them again to review the grade. Not only do you pay a premium, you often pay it more than once for the right grade.

If your going to sell, go PSA however expect random grades as there seems to be no set guidelines for the graders to follow unlike with other grading companies. If you wanting to keep the cards for your own collection go for whichever grading company you prefer the label for.

CGC is what I use. I don't have much of a problem with PSA's design or grading methods, but their up-charges seem pretty petty to try and extract some of the profit. In fact, its not even ethical to do so. They can grade a lot of big cards 9 or 10 just because they know that will give them the biggest payout. And a long these lines of thought, it makes me wonder if I can trust psa grades.

From all I have seen you can’t trust PSA grades at all as they all seem to be based on the mood of the grader that day or if they fancy making a boatload of extra cash for marking up a card. So many cards that they grade always come back as a completely different grade. 8 become 10, 10 become 8. Even seen a 5 become a 10. No pattern whatsoever.

@@robertromero8094 yeah it's true. I know most everyone at Cons for example don't even consider buying a CGC slab even if it's a good card. And I'm not shaming anybody for that because they just know what does the best business for them. I sell some of mine, and there's still a huge population on ebay who love CGC too, so it works for me. But I especially just like the company and the look of the slabs more for my collection.

Since i live in Hungary, the shipping would cost me 80USD, which is insane. If you don't have at least 20 good and expensive raw cards, it's not worth it at all. My most expensive card is Gardevoir from Paldean Fates, aside from that, nothing really special, that would be profitable.

Luckily we have a few grading companies in the UK like Ace which is my preferred grading company as their slabs are better quality than most other graders and their ACE labels just look so nice with the continued artwork effect.

I only grade my cards based on the current PSA 9 price + shipping, if the raw is worth more than that, it’s not worth grading. There’s some rare exceptions where I’d want to get a card graded just for the protection for my PC, but for making $$$ this is a simple formula to follow. And I’m talking my modern cards not vintage.

I recently took a couple cards to psa. Odd cards people would t think I would grade either just stuff I would like in a slab. I’m not a wishful thinker but I guess I hot I get some 10’s. You can but in the end youll lose money. See tons of 50 and 100 card submission returns and they have 90% 10s, I never believe these as its to easy for people to fake. Look at poke rev that man submits some 2000 cards a month and het gets a third back as 10s which is more realistic, he doesnt even do it for the money but for the fun. As always if you want the grade, buy the grade, if not buy the card as youll more thab likely end up wasting money.

That’s also why I get chards graded. Not to sell, but to protect them. That’s why I never use PSA as they are the worst graders ever. PSA grading is only viable if you want to sell the cards.

I don't believe this sentiment as you can protect your cards for significantly less money using top loaders and double sleeving. Paying to seal your cards in a PSA slab claiming it's "only for protection" is completely disingenuous. You only say that when you don't pull a 10, when you do I guarantee the first thing you do is look up how much its worth.

Never using a company of thugs that take more than they are owed, they don't own the market!!! If and this is a big if the market crashes how can they justify upcharging you??? I understand charging you for insurance but anything beyond that is theft to me, I'm paying you for a service and because I got lucky and got a good grade you punish the card holder that has spent thousands to get that one chase card???? Go to degree grading, they will definitely be the next big grading company cause their contracts make sense and don't punish the lucky card holder.
