Wow, the Howick waterfall looks impressive, I swear no matter how many we find around the world we’re still amazed by them! Love the coffee cups in the mushroom farm too, looked really nice! Love Craig’s little happy dance with beer, food and sand! We’d be happy too! Love the aerial shots of the trail 😍

Hilton was my home town before we moved to Melbourne, then Perth, then Bay of Plenty and now Cromwell in NZ’s South Island. I will always miss those forests and Midmar Dam

The dinner and wine pairing is right up our alley - I love those experience. The scenery looks amazing there. I love seeing around your new hometown and those waterfalls were incredible! Such a nice picnic at the end too - we aren't allowed to drink here unless it's a designated spot to no mimosa picnics for us. Those monkeys seemed serious!! lol

I would love to see more of Hilton Town, especially the Quarry. We visited people there in the early 2000s and I fell in love with it. The drive between Hilton and Maritzburg was sooo pretty, I would drive it... just because...

Welcome to the Midlands Craig & Chantz! i been living here the last 54 years and dont worry it not that far away from the coast, You can stil be at the beach in 45minutes, lol thats if the N3 not busy! The nice thing about the midlands is, that it not to far from the Drakensberg and not far from the coast! Enjoyed watching this video and Your footage of the Karkloof is stunning!

Last time I was in Howick Falls in 2011 - it was just a trickle. Locals were doing their laundry atop. Had some nice pies at a nearby shop. The bar was closed because "some locals can't handle themselves" - according to the owner. 🤣Edit - in 2011 - walking in the country along the river was not a good idea. Local kids would spot you and soon local teens would come to take your stuff - or worse.

P.s. we have seen Howick Falls in 2019 but it was so much different than this abundance of water. I think it depends on the season.
