aaah, memories... I was 19 when this was on TV, late at night, everything dark and i was totally mesmerized watching this, it was so perfect. In 1999 I saw them on a festival, still almost unknown in a small tent far from the main stage, not many people in there, everything smoky and dark and Ville just singing right in front of me, standing like 50cm before me. Such a nice memory, I'm glad I was there and I was 19 then

Jorik Yang I was actually, at first, very disappointed with the way they went afterwards y'know with Screamworks. It was just so poppy and having a heavy guitar album like Venus Doom before it threw me off. Over time I began to like it more. They redeemed themselves with a few tracks on Tears on Tape.
@GheorgheEftodi9 жыл бұрын
The same thing in here... Overtime it became just another HIM album, which sounds much better than any other "metal" shit and you love it because they're trying to evolve in something else than before, and fucking Valo's voice is still at the high level, not at the highest he can, but at very high one!

If im not mistaken it was from a demo called 666ways to love... it had a different version of your sweet 666 as well and some content that never got updated. songs like serpent ride, dont remember all the titles anymore. The full demo should be avalible on youtube. Totally worth checking it out. :) As far as i know, the lady on the cover is Ville's mom when she was younger.

I never owned the EP's back im the day i had a home made cd which combined the two ep's. There is no second version of sweet 666. That was on Razorblade romance. That album had multible versions as well. The heartless on this one has a women screaming her lungs out at the start of the song. Enjoy everyone. Recently they are still, Mr. Valo's voice is still shocking (in a positive way) and Linde's playing style and creativity are still magic for me :) When this video was recorded I was just 8 year old small boy with no idea about heavy metal... when I was 14 they became my favourite band my fav album is Greatest Lovesongs... Anyway I adore most of HIM when they were "old school" like in this performance :) they sounded seriously like a metal band :) Its really interesting how good sound the gibson thunderbird and the sg makes together :) of course in B tune :) For me Linde's guitar play and creativity has been of course the highlight of HIM :)

Wow! In 2000 as a teen I discovered this band and in 2003 at the age of 14 I have already seen them live. I really loved that band and listened to their songs every day. Join me was the first song I heard, but soon I bought the album Razorblade Romance as well as Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666. I also liked the next album Deep Shadows. Then there was Love Metal. It was okay, but I have to admit I was not that enthusiastic about it. And anything else that was released after Love Metal could not really convince me. Honestly now I do not even know about anything that was released after LM. At the beginning I just continued to listen to the old songs I liked while ignoring the new ones. And then I think I just had listened to them too often, so I stopped listening to them completely. I think I had not listened to them for 9 years at least. Sometimes when I thought of my life as a teen, it was also "the time when I was crazy about HIM"...I think during the last years I just thought of them as a teenie band (cause I had been one when I discovered them), I could not remember their quality. Then last week I found their performance of Rock am Ring (2001?). Today I stumbled over this performance. Fu** they were great! (Still don't like the new stuff though ;-) )
