When you come to a stop and might forget to shift down, don't forget about the thumb throttle; you can take off from the gear you are already in as the thumb throttle can get you going from a dead stop and the rider can then pick up their speed from the gear they are presently in.

In Europe , in germany , we pay for a fully 7000,- € !!! So it is a very good Price . 😊

True and probably a not as powerful mid-drive. At least you likely have better infrastructure?

This is exactly the class of bike that I am looking for. Step-through frame, Tires not too fat, mid-drive, dropper post. I hope that dropper posts become at least an option on most e-bikes. So far I am looking at this one and the Aventon Ramblas.

I am amazed they are able to bring a bike like this to the market for this price. But then again since their beginning they have offered real value in their bikes and that's why I bought my 2020 Himiway All Terrain Cruiser. Sure Himiway has had their problems with after sale support years ago, but as a follower of the e bike market place I have read or heard of those issues recently. Also other Mfgs have had the same or worst issue as well. This comes with the production of any mass produced products these days. I am seriously considering buying one of these bikes as I live in the "hills" in my town and while my current bike handles them OK, the mid drive on this new bike would be much better.

gee I Like that himi ebike just not the display being a built in thing [oops] the mid drive & the shift sensors a super thing to have the torque sensor? might be why its so slow(?) or maybe it needs a 750 watt motor(?) Ive watched a few reviews and the A7 is slow on the start. even when shifting, but ghat helped a bit. start out in a lower gear its not an automatic :) Id be more tempted if they change out that display [ that location makes the stem weaker and the display is too small & hard to read] the 500 watt motor might be ok (?) I just know it will be slow start, but if it delivers better torque? then nice :)

Just bought one the other day I have to adjust the back airshock the ride has been a little stiff once I adjust that I’m sure it’ll be one smooth ride, but I love it. I also purchased saddlebags so I can carry a beverage of my choice

After watching this video, I ended up just buying the Himiway Rambler. It's $1,000 cheaper, has a hub motor + a mid drive motor, same top speed, almost the same miles per charge. The A7 is cool though. I just think the Rambler is a better bang for your buck
@EbikeEscape6 ай бұрын
The Rambler is a solid choice. Especially at the premium model. Just one clarification: The rambler has either a Hub Drive OR a Mid-Drive. Not both. And it depends on model spec. Which one did you go with?
@petermacdonald83316 ай бұрын
That throttle would be fine used from a dead start to get you going but using the throttle after that as speed increases you'll have to keep up shifting through the gears until you reach a good cruising speed, which is not necessary on hub-motor based ebikes.
@Hoggdoc19466 ай бұрын
True, but you can skip gears, making the transition much faster and you're also forgetting the major advantage for climbing hills, by being able to use the gear ratios that the gear set offers.
@petermacdonald83316 ай бұрын
@@Hoggdoc1946 Quite right. There clearly is a mechanic advantage to using lower gears when climbing hills, but I think it will take some to for some throttle-happy, hub-motor riders, to get used to lowering the gears when using the throttle to climb hills. Most people will figure it out from experience.

Himiway makes super nice and clean bikes. Wouldn’t mind a cobra. The thing is I hear their customer service is very lackluster.
@Hoggdoc19466 ай бұрын
Which is true to almost all of these e-bikes. However, they have been stepping up their product line the last year or so hopefully they have the funds and resources to provide better after sale support.

Nice and Not. I put a dropper seat post on my Wire Freedom, as the range of motion in one of my knees requires me to ride with the saddle high. So the dropper is a nice, but I'd rather it has a remote, so both hands can remain on the handlebar. So at quick glance I have two issues with the price, no not the price as what my Como cost you can buy two of these A7. First is the 14.4 or is it 15 Ah battery, which is kind of small by today's standards. The other is it seems (after reading the specs) that the max seat height is 28.7 inches. However, they measure from the middle of the crank to the highest seat position. I measure from the ground to where saddle position as a starting point, and that is almost 40 inches. It's possible that it might go high enough, but concerns me. There are a lot of good things about this bike and $2399 or so is NOT a crazy price. I'm really curious as to what the range would be like at 18-20 mph pace.

Also, what did you think about the level of comfort of the A7 vs the Lectric One?
@EbikeEscape6 ай бұрын
Completely different frame types but you can't beat full suspension. But the A7 is a much larger bike.

If you could have this same bike except with a 750-1000w hub drive & maybe a slightly bigger battery for a similar price, which would you choose?
@Dustinrhoades6 ай бұрын
Can I ask which you prefer, this bike or the Lectric One?
@Hoggdoc19466 ай бұрын
The Lectric One is not even a fair comparison as it is a hub drive.

I highly value belt drive so that would be my preference. But as the other commenter said, two different beasts.

Why doesn't the display show the same speed as the gps?
@EbikeEscape5 ай бұрын
GPS can sometimes be off and speed is set by wheel size on hub drive ebikes which isn't exact. It really depends on the bike though this has a speed sensor in the rear wheel that is read.

Awesome bike just too expensive
@Hoggdoc19466 ай бұрын
Seriously you think this bike is too expensive? Maybe not in your budget, but not expensive given the quality of the components and features on the bike. Do some research I think you'll not find anything that even comes close to this bike for less than $3500 or more.
