To clarify about some of the paladins coming after Hinata, yes they did actually follow after her however Hinata was not aware of it.

To clarify without spoiler last season Guy clarified that there is a division between demon lords awakened and non awaken Hinata makes the assumption that Rimuru is awaken

Hinata knows from Luminus that Rimuru has awakened. There was no assumption. Hinatat knows much more about Rimuru than she shares with any of that council

@@WalkenDead yes I know that but as is presented in the anime is a mere assumption since the video is anime only I made the point by what the anime has presented not the LN.

If you pay attention to the titles everyone gets it becomes more clear about what factions are at play. The Master Rooks are disrespectful and combative to Hinata. The Paladins are incredibly respectful of Hinata. The Lumininaries are clearly up to something. All three groups are not in alignment with each other. They are not questioning Luminous about Veldora. They are questioning whethet Hinata is giving a "true" oracle. The knights are following Hinata. I.e. she doesnt know they are following her. With Reiheim suddenly dying it shows further discord amongst the church and suggests something is up. Epsecially with the merchants constantly being brought up in Falmouth again. Hinata isn't going to Tempest to fight. She is going there to try and talk. She believes Luminous that Rimuru wants peace so she is suss about everything going on and wants to talk to Rimuru in person to get the facts. Diablo cannot go to where Reiheim is easily as it would invlove infiltrating the main headquarters to the church. Diablo could likely do that, but at a high risk of being found out and making war all but inevitable. If you pay attention to the previous episodes Rimuru mentions his message to Hinata. He says that he sent her a message asking for peace, but he also included a tongue in cheek threat for if she refuses peace. This suggests that only part of the message was played. Hinata COPIED there abilities, not TAKEN. They still have there abilities, she is just better than them now. Usurper can take abilites (which she tried on Rimuru last season), but Hinata wasnt going to steal abilities from "allies". Skipped content below: Hinata during the meeting legitimately thinks "when i get back i am going to have to do a purge of this church"

It's always interesting to see how different animes deal with the Fog-of-War; and if you can pit two powers against each other with a simple edit (or an AI Deep Fake) of a critical communication; one could sow great chaos. If done poorly, you get the "miscommunication trope" so this is why I find Hinata's internal dialogue so critical; it shows the writers are hinting at bigger machinations while the pawns gain self-awareness. Now, I wonder if this is being manipulated by Yuuki, (which would be interesting bringing all 3 reincarnators together) or by a, yet-unknown, power from the East.

This adaptation is REALLY sticking to the source material, while it's skipping a lot of the finer (and really fun) details the broader strokes are almost 1-1 (for better or worse). As an LN reader it's fine with me but for anime watchers it's probably hit-or-miss because of the difference in medium. In the LN these past few episode were relegated to around a chapter or 2 which would take about 30 minuets to get through while giving even more detail and could be read in a single sitting (don't have to wait for a separate volume). But because this is an anime you need to wait several weeks at a time for the same amount of information to be given. Even the manga spent 3 months (from ch. 87 which was episode 49 to chapter 90 which would be this episode) going over the same situation. I feel like if Slime had a better director (like MT) they'd be able to make the episodes feel more dynamic or expedite a bit of it, though they're probably just making full use of it to save money (not that I blame them in that case). It's just unfortunate that it leaves people with a bad impression.

It’s really annoying how they seem to rarely perfectly adapt novels, whereas a lot of manga are adapted perfectly, you can actually follow along page for page and it’s exactly what’s on the page.

I stopped reading the LN around here, because I wasn´t a fan of the church plot/misunderstanding. (And yes, I understand it was manipulated on purpose.) Wanted to wait for the anime. But maybe it´s time to dive back in, try reading it side-by-side.

@@johnyshadow The manga is a very nice middle ground, it also misses some details but it frames things much better than the anime does. I honestly think it's one of the best manga adaptations of a LN out there (that's probably why it's the most popular LN adaptation too).

Well its kinda spoiler i guess, but all i can say is that Hinata is gaining more attention from Luminous than to the seven luminaries, and the seven luminaries does not like that.

Don't worry all of these questions will be answered at some point saare was supposed to become commander but hinata defeated him and became commander herself,that's why he holds a grudge against her but he respects her strength also can't believe they skipped Hinata bed scene 😞

Falmuth believed the lie that the reason they lost was all veldora's doing so they are not so careful of rimuru Hinata is saying that rimuru is an awaken demon lord like guy and milim while luminas and the other demon lord are not awaken Diablo would know instantly of rayhem died since the moment he dies Diablo collects his soul Most of what you are speculating about will be explained

So your questioning about the seven luminaries got me thinking, what if Hinata wasn't the first person to usurp them? It would explain why Luminus wouldn't move against them, and the luminaries don't necessarily take issue with her. But Hinata as a human would irk them because she's just a human, albeit a reincarnation. Demon Lord is one thing, that they can explain their loss logically. But Hinata essentially taking their role a second to Luminus (iirc), might have irritated them even more.

No one can enter Lubelius without being detected. So even if it were obvious Reyhiem was going to be killed, Diablo wouldn't be able to do anything about it since his entering would make it seem as if Rimuru were planning something.

They're all important episodes. the last one set up things for the rest of the season while concentrating on the nation building. that whole thing about barriers on the road was several pages in the book. Plus we got the witty banter of the Tempest Staff this one was more exciting I agree. We met some characters that will be pretty important. We cleared up a ton of stuff. and yes the 4 other saints did leave to follow Hinata. It gets wild but there is a process. I'm glad they aren't skipping this for action. They've teased some characters in the movie and spin off that won't show for a while . My fear was that they would skip ahead to get to those stories. the ones with more action than the upcoming arcs.

the book tells you what the message was supposed to be. Rimuru makes a joke about some needling in the last episode. he meant the part that was creatively edited and shown to Hinata.

The luminaries have some clout due to their long standing contributions to the faith but really Luminus kind of just lets them get away with whatever they want instead of reigning them in when they overstep.

That was the real Rayheim. The reason being what he told them about Falmuth--it's not the cover story that the Falmuth nobles were told, that has been spread around already, he told them what actually happened, something only the real Rayheim would know and would tell with Diablo's permission.

The scene must have been happening at the same time. Diablo sensed Rayheim being killed after the meeting. Although, there is "cloning" technology in this world, it's currently monopolized by the Sorcerous Dynasty of Thallion who wants to be in Rimuru's good side because Erard. 😂 Imho, the 7 Luminaries weren't presented well this episode. All your questions about them will be answered in time, Andrew.

No Spoilers: As someone who's read the WN, the LN, and the manga, I can confidently say "I don't know". Hinata's characterization and motivations vary pretty wildly from adaptation to adaptation. Im guessing the anime is going to add to the pile as they've already diverged a bit from the source.

I do love this series and I love world building but I wish they show more than tell. I can see next episode being a meeting between Hinata and Rimuru

Ok those luminaries seemed really dramatic as if filling a role so as we all know the vampires are in the background of the church and then there's the attitude towards Hinata which I took as jealousy and trying to make her look bad / incompetent. Yeah I'm going with the theory that these idiots are literally doing the same trick and it'll be obvious and everything gets settled.

I think you're confused. Who says there's been an oracle? Hinata. The seven luminaries are obviously viewed above Hinata. Between the supposed words of an unseen God delivered by a woman you look down on and the words of the seven luminaries of legend, who do you think will have more persuasive power?

Usurper can either TAKE skills from someone (like how she tried in season 2). Or she can COPY skills which is what she says she did in this episode to the Luminaries.
