Have you thought about the channel direction now its becoming obvious that you peddle people that spread false information just for clicks and views? One week your guest "expert" totally contradicts the next. I'm surprised as such a great business man that you haven't realised this podcast is now a sinking ship that's lost a lot of credibility these last few months,..

@@michellekalski8823 I understand your points. I think any type of false info should have no platform at all. The guests should be vetted better. The "experts" can cause people genuine damage in their own lives with medical information that isn't correct. A lot of the more recent guests especially are becoming rather worrying. I think there needs to be a disclaimer that a lot of information given isn't factual and should not be taken as so. There's a lot of people that just believe an "expert" Nobody here ever shows actual evidence of any of the claims. It should be stated for people to understand clearly that some of the information should not be taken as fact as it is ALWAYS presented.

Watch when the CEO of hinge is asked, what about the meme going around that women prefer and swipe right on men over 6 feet tall? Watch him look up and to the left, a clear sign someone is lying. He cant have the truth put out there about women's preferences because he would loose half of his app user's. Dating apps have ruined the dating market. The reality of the statistics have settled in, women find 80% of men unattractive, and actually date the top 5% If you are not at least 5'10" dont bother with dating apps. Ask people out in person.

Apps are the problem. If there were no apps people would talk and listen and be more natural . People are attracted to good looking people and thats just the way it is and if you dont have a face that fits then you have no chance and that leaves a lot of people especially men single and alone .

I agree that apps don’t work. The problem is that all you have to evaluate a match is a picture so of course the only thing you’re going to evaluate the person by is looks. In real life there are so many things that override looks. A terrible personality would make a good looking person ugly and a good personality increases attractiveness. There is also the demeanour, the voice, the accent, facial expressions, how they move, their sense of humour, the list is endless. All this affect the overall attractiveness for us women. Someone who is a 4 in a photo can be a 10 if our humour syncs and he makes me laugh. You cant find this on an app.
@SuspensionTruth

@@laraking804@chris-tz9ct Exactly - there's no incentive for politeness, courtesy, or authenticity when you meet and 'having a talking stage' online. It's fake. Personality, vibe, someone's smell, mannerisms only really come through when you're right in front of them.

I think apps are ok but the problem is people don’t answer all of the questions for their profile and expect people to take them seriously. They put just looking for something casual and expect to find something other than casual. A lot of people use it just for sex. There’s also a lot of love scammers from other countries but the main problem is lack of accountability. If you don’t want a woman who is overweight then stop being overweight. If you want a woman who doesn’t sleep with everyone then stop sending sick pics and leading with sex.

It does make you think though, how much of a "coincidence" it is that this lady has now magically changed her mind so fast (in the grand scheme of things) to not marry the previous genlteman who she had a mortgage/place with already and lived together. Apps should come with required education on the realness of relationships (like an Esther Perel content 😄) People romanticize relationships too much, even those who disagree with romanticizing. People believe that when things get difficult it’s a sign that you should end things. Not saying that’s not true in some situations, but relationships are simply not like that. They are beautiful and they are complex, just like life, just like humans. The issue is that we are now at a point where knowing that there are “more fish in the sea” has become the catalyst for leaving a ‘situationship’ when it no longer fits the idea that each person has about the relationship they want to be in. The number of options can be good, but not necessarily helpful at this scale in the larger context of “finding a partner”. Apps can exacerbate the problem, but the problem is the people using them the way they are, not the apps themselves.

This was more about the business of dating apps than the fundamentally broken way we date now. The majority of dating app users are unhappy with the product and wish there was a popular alternative. It doesn't have to do with the way the apps are designed it has to do with the way people authentically connect - and also the safety of women. These apps are not protecting women by running background checks or doing much in the way of real verification of users. This episode missed the mark entirely and felt like an ad for Hinge.

The Thursday Dating app is trying to solve this. You can only log in on a Thursday and it has a local physical meet up IRL mixer for the users. They're having trouble gaining traction however. I think it's a good idea for anyone who actually feels confident in their face to face ability and just needs a good enough ice breaker. The biggest obstacle so far seems to be that because if it's IRL feature it's not available in many cities. I haven't checked recently but I'm in Toronto and last time I looked it didn't exist in Canada, for example. And I'm sure there are safety concerns to be addressed for people to really get on board with it.

There were so few matches (members) that they basically succumbed to matching you with anyone for most zip codes. Since no one writes anything about themselves on these other platforms what exactly would AI use to correlate a match, a person's facial feature ratios with the dated pics they provide?? Imagine opening a map and choosing -a restaurant, a cinema, a climbing gym or any location that aligns with your personality-registering your interest, and discovering who else is drawn to the same spot or activity, either for romantic dating or friendship and then going through a matching process with them. Moreover, TerriTie promotes real interactions by requiring ID verification and restricting digital communication until you make a booking, minimizing unnecessary screen time and fostering genuine connections.Besides, it’s based on a new relationship styles framework called PICCK A SPICE. Someone should make a website that aggregates a safety rating of every dating app and site and then rank them all against one another with that criteria. Maybe have one rating metric be safety and another rating metric be mirage/fake accounts. There would probably be overlap because of phishing, so maybe an overall safety rating and then a more detailed break down if you click into the individual platform rating.

I'll admit that Paul Brunson's interview had my curiosities peaked. This one just confirmed my suspicions. All I hear is that they're helping it's users get the most use and exposure on their app. It hasn't resolved the issue of user's just working the system for sport hook-ups. Steven makes a comment that was completely unacknowledged that people go on it with the belief that they're going to get sex out of dating. It doesn't matter how intimate and vulnerable a person is with their profile because 99% of the other users who see it are NOT even reading it with the intent of getting to know the person and determining if they might be a match for a long term relationship.
