Useless factoid: The Gibson Les Paul featured in this video used to belong to Joe Perry from Aerosmith. Not only did Perry lose the guitar in a divorce settlement in 1984, his ex-wife cold-heartedly pawned the guitar off to a music shop who sold it to guitarist Eric Johnson. When Perry was offered to buy the guitar back, he couldn’t come up with the cash and it ended up in Slash’s possession in 1989. Joe would receive the guitar back as a birthday gift from Slash in 2000, when he turned 50

Congratulations, your senses are in tune otherwise you wouldnt react that way. music is universal. there is great music from EVERY generation of every nation, music IS THE truly universal language.speaking from listening to EVERYTHING from classical through every genre. you hear similar but very subtle discords (notes that shouldn't be played together) as the produce distortion in the sound of the music that changes your brain as you weren't expecting it. Some people dont hear that dissonance so the music just sounds BAD to them.i feel very very sorry for those people. other people are born with perfect pitch they can identify any note played to them. most have to spend years listening to music learning how the sounds of the notes interact with each other.do yourself and ears a favour and have a listen to "Fleetwood mac""s "Albatross" its an instrumental but that was the first record i heard that took me away with it. you WONT be disappointed. btw, i am over 70, just love music

Slash is an incredible guitarist as he makes his guitar tracks fit so well, especially with songs containing piano. Estranged being another perfect example of how Slash creates epic guitar tracks to accompany piano. In the November Rain video, the guitar he's using used to belong to none other than Joe Perry, lead guitarist of Aerosmith. Joe found out that Slash owned it and wanted to buy it back from Slash who refused several times. Years later out of the goodness of his heart, Slash gave the guitar back to Joe as a birthday present. A song I can recommend by Guns N' Roses is Move To The City live in Tokyo 1992 as most band members have their own solo in the instrumental part. It's So Easy, Nightrain and Rocket Queen also from live in Tokyo 1992 are bangers. Every song on Appetite For Destruction is a banger. Civil War, You Could Be Mine, Estranged, Locomotive, Pretty Tied Up, Breakdown, Yesterdays, 14 Years, Konckin' On Heavens Door from Use Your Illusion 2 album. Don't Cry, Live & Let Die, Garden Of Eden, Back Off Bitch, Bad Obsession, Right Next Door To Hell, Don't Damn Me, Dead Horse and the epic 10min 12sec Coma.

I've never seen a band dive so hard from one album to another. In 91, GNR were arguably the biggest band in the world for a moment. Use your illusion 1 and use your illusion 2 came out together and everyone bought them and loved them universally. 93 rolls around and they brought out their next album, 'The spaghetti incident' and the entire world went "no thanks we are good".

Defining who was better at the time is subjective, but GNR had way more fans and were much bigger than Metallica at the time. GNR was by far the biggest band in the world for about a 4-5 year period. Then they just stopped making music. Not knocking Metallica, because they did keep making great music for decades and wound up overtaking GNR over the years to become one of the greatest bands of all time.
@bobhawke7373
@bobhawke7373 Ай бұрын
@@petenieto1575 There is nothing subjective about it. Metallica is better than Guns N Roses. Always have been. Always will be. By the time GNR showed up with some welcome to the jungle action. Metallica had already written and released ride the lightning and master of puppets. 2 of the greatest albums of all time in the genre. Guns n Roses were never in front. I meant 'biggest' as in for ' a moment' as in most played commercially. And they didn't just stop making music. They tore themselves apart from within, got messed up and split up

GnR was literally one of the biggest bands of the 80s and 90s; I think you'll find that there are far more fans than haters out there. Maybe they're jealous? Fun fact: the orchestra director was Michael Kamen. Amongst other things he also conducted the orchestra for Queen’s “Who wants to live forever”, another video you might want react to.

Ah, Slash doing that solo on the piano(wording intentional) is absolutely brilliant.

FINALLY!!!!!!!! My all time favourite band!!! This one is a slow beat tune but if you want a harder tune, paradise city,welcome to the jungle or my Michelle but either way you will definitely NOT be disappointed!! Slash is one of the greatest guitar players ever and no one can hit notes the way Axl does❤️❤️❤️ I hope you enjoy

Clearly you haven’t seen Axl live recently 🤣 Duff is the best singer in that band these days

@@mariannetuite7411 no I haven’t and no I do not expect him to nowadays cause he is older now and because of the amount of shit he put his vocals through, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have the best vocals in his prime. No one can take that away from him

Axl in his prime was Fantastic!! Seen them probably close to 15 plus times coming up at the Whiskey a go go. Molly will enjoy it for sure!! He has to experience all of it, regardless of how he sounds now. Ya know ♥️🤘〽️

Yes, Slash made that guitar sing and it was as beautiful as any lyric in the song. It still gives me chills all these years later.

Saw GnR in Ireland a few years ago. Seeing Slash play live is like being in the presence of some kind of deity. He just has an incredible presence and his playing is the best; as you've heard in this song, it's the feel rather than necessarily being the speed... he just sounds superb
