This was essentially a radio edit so it was a little shorter, listen to the Album version and you would likely enjoy it way more! Oops i did it again (cover ) For a little extra lore! CoB (children of bodom) got the current name based off a series of murders in the Lake bodom area. The murders if im correct went unsolved. Further tidbit, any song with the word Bodom in the name is related to said murder case (i may be wrong but i think thats the situation)

I highly reccomend you to check out "Downfall".That song has my favourite guitar solo from all of the metal, and I heard a lot of metal. And about lyrics...They have a lot of songs with pretty atmospheric lyrics, my favourites are "Angels Don't Kill" and "Everytime I Die". This is a great band that changed their style through the years, so you definitely should check their older and newer stuff. This song is somewhere in middle. COBHC!

Bit late to comment on this, but since Laiho has now died, it´s heartwarming to see videos like these. I have seen a couple of gigs from Children Of Bodom, one of my favorite bands of all time. Heck, I even have two song names tattooed on my back. Are You Dead Yet and If You Want Peace Prepare For War. Many friends of mine met them during gigs and festivals, met them once myself too. Alexi and his guitar style inspired me, lot of my friends and all in all, this was and still is one the biggest influences for many people. Laihos passing was truly a tragedy. Not surprising by any means, but tragedy still. Me and couple of my friends actually cried because of that and I sometimes tear up still while listening to Children Of Bodom.

Btw, this song is one of their heaviest ones because this band was first known as for their melodic death metal style which was more - forgive the repetition - melodic than it is in this track. They also made more use of the synthetizer andthe atmsosphere felt really different in previous albums. You should totally check those tracks i mentioned before.

Nothing beats old Bodom imo. You can take their first 3 or 4 albums (I actualy like most of the songs on Hate Crew Deathroll, though I know some people already put it into the "new" Bodom era) and basicaly blind pick any song and it's gonna be a goddamn masterpiece. My top 5 would most likely contain Kissing the Shadows (for obvious reasons, lul), Towards Dead End, Bodom after Midnight, Mask of Sanity and then basicaly any song from Something Wild album, because it's so hard to actualy pick just one song from this CD (would probably pick Deadnight Warrior or Lake Bodom if I had to).

I'm actually surprised more people don't listen to more Rap and Metal in tandem (I don't mean Nu Metal). I consider myself a Metalhead/Hardcore Kid but I probably listen to more Rap and R&B day to day than Metal or Hardcore. I'll listen 21 Savage and switch to Code Orange or jam out to SZA then switch on some Fallujah.
