Thanks for proving that you haven't listened to them live properly. You don't magically lose all your skill when you stand up. Sure, it's a little more awkward and takes some getting used to, but Sam and Herman have been playing for decades between the two of them. You think they aren't used to it by now? Nobody cares what days you claim to be from, it's completely unrelated to the subject. Trying to squeeze in something for your epeen? At least you got one part right, there's no fanboy shit here. I don't even listen to the band, I just know when a band is genuinely poor, and when people have to compensate by hopping on the band wagon because it's "cool" to hate something.
@MrFusion1016 жыл бұрын
i just said i did, can't you read, you need to read all this then reply. You don't play guitar mate or you would know if you sit in a classical position ( if your right handed) with the guitar on your left knee, go try it and look at your hand position and feel the relaxed natural feeling your tendons in your forearm take. OK now from the minor 3d of E on the 5th string, play this string skipping arpeggio in Em. 3rd, 7th, root(octave higher) right up to the E on the 12th fret on the high E and back again. OK. Now stand up lower your strap so your guitar is very low like a rock star, play the same arpeggio. Notice your hand position the tension in your forearm and the fact that you will struggle a little more to make the stretches. If you practice standing up with your guitar in the same position you play live your muscle memory will develop differently. Have you never seen a REAL great player put his foot on the fold back for a complex solo, guess why? because its easier to play cleaner. fuckn fanboy scum, I've have a bachelor degree in contemporary music. I actually played in bands and recorded real albums, we recorded at the Butterfly effects managers house. You miss my point because your a fan boy. youtube search Ro Armu Tani, that was one of the more commercial bands i played in. those songs were re-written multiable times 14 min songs became 3-4 min catchy tunes, we removed all the big solos. Its nice to have big epic complex solos but when you have to play that night after night you spend more time just keeping your chops up plus its easier to jump about like a dickhead and head bang.
@braxtonmarshall18836 жыл бұрын
The Kurgan bro quit with all the hate, for fuck sake are you a metal head or are you a little bitch? I was curious (not a musician but find the process of making music, not to mention how instruments are made, fascinating) about how one can improve their dexterity to such an incredible degree. Specifically, what sorts of exercises/techniques would a guitarist use other than actually playing their guitar? If this is a ridiculous question, please forgive my ignorance.
@ima42485 жыл бұрын
@@JustIn-op6oy as a pianist, I can answer too. Literally just practicing. You need to slowly pick a pace with songs, going on with harder ones to develop technique. On my channel, it's mostly videos for fun and songs I played months ago, but progress is constant. Just never stop practicing and you can get good at everything. If you keep playing instruments for a long time, if you compare songs you picked up months ago and one you picked up last week, there would be a great difference.

"I've never listened to it in its entirety before." And you still haven't done so. Find an mp3 of it, hear the actual full song. I still can't believe that in the OFFICIAL VIDEO, they skipped a huge chunk of the big solo and THE WHOLE THIRD VERSE. What a terrible decision.
@bkb7574 жыл бұрын
Ugh I hate it when artists do that. It’s not even just this song. I’m thinking it’s because they don’t have enough of a budget for the video to do the whole thing.
@LosRockson4 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly.
@UltromanTheTacoman4 жыл бұрын
@mark tamayo Yeah. The artists might not even have had a say in it. There's a record label behind them doing the publishing and marketing. Not that I know anything about their deal or anything, but they might have been forced to do it for the reason you listed: it's easier to sell "commercial standard length" tracks i.e. easier to get slots for them on the radio and TV.
@lunahetfield3 жыл бұрын
Same thing with highway to oblivion they cut it down to 4 mins instead of 7 mins. Yet Metallica's one mv played the entire song , maybe nowadays mv should be 4 mins in order to produce a music video.

A lot of people wouldn't be able to sing to their potential trying to sing about something that traumatic. That's what makes it so crazy.. real, raw emotion. The song isn't about singing well. Its about telling that story and getting it out.

Nightwish has a lot of phenomenal pieces (Ghost Love Score, Poet and the Pendulum, Song of Myself, Last Ride of the Day, Planet Hell). However, no matter what song, it is best to go to one of the live recordings with Tarja or Floor over the studio imo. Nightwish's sound is so great live.

It's a great song, but this version is a bit shorter DragonForce fans are a bit divided because they changed singers. Haters claim they don't/can't play there own stuff live. Personally I really like the band, very talented and gives a lot of energy. If you want more, Ashes of the dawn, Cry Thunder, Fury of the storm, Operation ground and pound (live version!!!)
@TheWiseGrif6 жыл бұрын
Reinderp The haters are referring to some technical glitches during a tour a decade ago and won't let it die even though there's now hundreds-thousands of videos proving they can play live thanks to youtube

They used to suck ass live, but on the tour video from Japan recently, they crushed their whole set, including Fury of the Storm and TTFAF. I don't doubt that they wrote TTFAF well above their skill level at the time, but they've really grown into it. Unfortunately, they used such heavy effects on parts of the song on the album, they'll probably never recreate it perfectly live, but whatever. They're close enough that it doesn't really make that big a difference.

You have to listen to Dream Theater!!! People who haven't actually delved into their discography will tell you to start with The Dance of Eternity, As I Am, Panic Attack, etc, but you have to go to the really good stuff: Take the Time Under a Glass Moon (one the best and most iconic Petrucci's solo) Learning to Live 6:00 (yup, that's the name of the song) Voices (one of the best if not the best Petrucci solo) Scarred A Change of Seasons (I promise you this will be a life changing experience) Hell's Kitchen / Lines in The Sand (another strong candidate for best Petrucci solo) Fatal tragedy Beyond This Life Home The Spirit Carries On The Glass Prison The Great Debate Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (a 42 mins suite split into 8 songs) This Dying Soul Stream of Consciousness In the Name of God Octavarium In the Presence of Enemies Pts. 1 and 2 Constant Motion The Dark Eternal Night The Ministry of Lost Souls A Nightmare to Remember The Shattered Fortress The Count of Tuscany Lost Not Forgotten Breaking All Illusions Illumination Theory A New Beginning Our New World

Another good Dragonforce song is Land Where Dragons Rule and it's actually the very first one I head, my little brother, who is a huge metal head, let me hear it once and told me the band name and I got to looking around for them and that's how I found Dragonforce and their awesome music...and even more awesome shreds. Also when I say my little bro is a metal head..I mean he listens to pretty much any type of metal music..heavy, grunge, growl, screamo..if it's metal he's probably listened to at least one song from each type.
