Oh my goodness. I forget how young you are! I heard this on the radio when I was like 14 and couldn't believe my ears. Believe it or not, that wah-laden solo, which so many people can't stand about Kirk to this day, is the very thing that caught my attention. I called my best friend and told him he had to hear it. Of course, we didn't have the internet, so we both just had to listen to the rock station until they played it again. Changed my life. Literally.

You ought to react to Metallica Enter Sandman Live From Moscow in 1991. This was right after the Berlin Wall came down and the Soviet Union fell apart and first time they got to hear Metallica live. There was an audience estimated to be between 500,000 to 1.4 million in attendance. It was an amazing concert. The energy is through the roof.

DragonSoul _RJF I’m an American, and even though I’ve loved this song since it came out I don’t think of the Sandman as bad. Maybe the person in the song just dreads any kind of sleep. When I think of The Sandman I think of the song Mr. Sandman by The Chordettes. Which was from the 1950’s, and the sandman is nice. 🤷‍♀️

My girlfriend was staying the night last weekend with her 3 kids, and she usually sings them a lullaby to help put them to sleep. She finally let me sing them one. So in my scariest voice, I sang the "hush little baby, don't say a word. And never mind that noise you heard, it's just a beast under your bed, in your closet, IN YOUR HEAD". The youngest two freaked a little, but then I played the song on my phone and, god bless his little metal heart, the youngest started headbanging (something I taught them).

Yeah, I never liked reaction videos either. If they are just reacting to videos it seems like non content to me. This is different to me because he's reacting to music that has been absolutely core to my musical existence. I find it really interesting to see his reactions to songs he's never heard that I can't remember ever not knowing by heart.

Can't stand this channel because I refuse to believe that he has never before heard half or more of the songs he reviews. That's great and all that he has a good following, but this channel always makes me cringe. I only come for the comments, but get disappointing every time to only see fanboys requesting songs that hes probably already heard of. How can someone come to make a page like this and have never heard of these songs, or bands? Not saying it's impossible, but highly unlikely. Not subscribed and will not be, but youtube thinks I want to see this guys dumb reaction faces to songs hes already heard because i look at the comments

Think it's quite easy to not know many songs by metallica or the big named bands. metal head or not.i'm into metal, heard of metallica, but i'm not into them and i can barely name more than 3 songs. and don't say that i'm not a true metal head, cause not every one into metal has to like or be a fan of any of the big 4. so yeah, i think it's pretty easy especially for Alex, that not a metal head, to not have heard any songs by metallica.

+SAY10, I think you should win the shirt just because of your excellent {sic} Marilyn Manson user name! Funny story, I didn't 'get' it until I heard the song! I thought perhaps is had something to do with the Korean language! My dad fought in the Korean War & he told me that the phrase 'The Number 10" meant no good to the Korean people! I have no linguistic clue if that was accurate or the Miller High Life talkin'! What do you think of the rerelease of 'Cry Little Sister' by Marilyn Manson? Wow, for me, just wow. Rock on!

This album is actually self-titled, but it's commonly referred to as "the Black Album" because the album cover is all black. They changed their sound and got more commercial. They lost a lot of fans, but gained many, many more. This album shot them into super stardom. In my opinion, this album rocks just as hard as any of their previous ones. It's just different. Another great song from it is Of Wolf and Man. I would love to see you react to it.

bro there isn't a single fucking song on the black album that is bad...not A single one...what people don't get about metallica and keep whining about is the fact that they have a different sound on EVERY single album...form kill em all to the hardwire..every album has NOTHING to do with the previous one...NOTHING. People bitch about that, but to me its just a testimony about how fucking great they actually are....musically, harmonically, lyrically and any way you want... so those who were lost as fans can go ...suck it?... :)

Funny, the Danish "sandman" (Ole Shut-eye) would spray milk in your eyes so you would fall asleep. Then he would bring two umbrellas he would open over the children - one with lovely fairytale pictures that would give you sweet dreams, if you'd been good, and one that would give you bad dreams if you'd been bad.

Finland, too. He's called Nukkumatti here. "Nukkua" means "to sleep" and Matti is a very common first name. Most common image of him a Finnish child would probably recognize today is from this old East German (or West German) animation done years ago, when the country was separated. It has no talking, but a puppet in a blue pyjama and a pointy hat comes in and sprinkles "unihiekka" ("sleep sand") which fall on kids eyes and they fall asleep... The Finnish version has a Finnish song depicting what's happening. It's probably on KZbin still, and they still show it on tv every day (I think), as the last clip of this Finnish kid's tv show Pikku Kakkonen ("little two", the name comes from kids being little and the channel showing it, YLE TV2). It has a host and short shows, some new, some old re-runs, and it's on tv every day / every week day. I used to watch it when I was a kid.

This song in particular is one that I've grown bored of purely because it has been overplayed. If you keep on checking out Metallica make sure you take a shot at their colabo with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. They made an entire 2 CD album together named "S&M"....awesome for the ears....all their greatest hits with the intensity of Metallica combined with an entire classic orchestra to fill the intensity even more is just orgasmic. One of my favorites from that album would be "Fuel"....or check out the songs you allready know and notice how much different and richer the songs seem to be. nobody thinks that metal and classic music would match but here they proved it

I just wanted to say this: I love your reactions to these metal songs. I've been hearing these songs for quite some time, and I love how fresh it is for you. It's almost like a father watching his kid open his Christmas present that the dad said he wasn't gonna get him because it was too expensive. It kinda reminds me why I love hard rock/heavy metal to begin with! Keep it up! Oh, and you should react to Metallica's "Moth Into Flame." It's one of their new songs (Okay, it's 2 years old. Ya got me.), and it's also pretty cool!

This is the song that got me into Metallica when I was 10 years old. I remember going over to a friends house to play and she was like "You have to see this totally creepy new video on MTV." (yes this was back when MTV actually played music.) I just remember like explosion in my head and was instantly hook. I was like "oh yeah, um creepy," but in my head was totally screaming THIS IS AWESOME!

My sisters were in their teens when I was born, so I heard music like this a lot growing up. This is actually one of the songs they play during football games at the high school all three of us went to. They also play Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, Down With the Sickness by Disturbed and Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes. So when I was a small bean, I'd show up to football games with my sisters and fall asleep to rock and metal music vibrating in my chest. It's why I became a percussionist and it's still just as soothing now that I'm older.
