Wahid Ahmed that will be from the days of Rust in Peace and Countdown To Extinction, Marty Friedman who was originally from the neoclassical shred metal band Cacophony before he joined Megadeth as one of the two guitarists for the song called Tornado Of Souls.

There are two types of guitar solo; fast and emotional. Normally more fast it is, it gets less feeling, but somehow Marty managed to achieve both feeling and speed at the same time! Just unbelievable...

@craighenry9512
@craighenry9512 2 жыл бұрын
But Dave Mustaine might be able to. That is the difference, musically, between the two bands at their peak. James Hetfield is a good guitarist, but is not on the level of the other three. Kirk Hammett is a superior guitarist, but both Dave and Marty are better than he is. In fact, Marty is the only guitarist in Megadeth who might be better than Dave. But, even if he isn’t, Dave ( As good as he is), has never been afraid to let his other guitarist shine and Marty sure does here.

They were always faster and sharper than Metallica, while Metallica were heavier and thicker, with a rawer approach.. Megadeth were fast, complex but at the same time punkier at some degree.. Somehow they always managed to stay direct and to the point through all this brilliant mayhem.. Metallica on the other hand were more pounding, with a big heavy sound and downpicking bulldozing riffs and also with their own style on harmonizing their songs.. They both have their merits and wrote tons of great music.. But Megadeth were always more challenging to the listener as they were challenging to the musician

What you just heard is heralded as one of the greatest guitar solos in metal of all time. This whole album is just a straight up masterpiece. Metallica was one of my first metal bands ever. I remember at age 13 hearing the song "Battery" for the first time when I picked up the Master of Puppets cd. It was love at first sight. However, Megadeth IN MY OPINION are more technical, nastier/grungier, have more studio albums, and a better catalogue. But I LOVE BOTH though! Megadeth is my #1 and Metallica is my #2. Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, and Avenged Sevenfold are my #3, 4, and 5. Alex, here are some Megadeth songs you MUST listen to! Symphony of Destruction Five Magics Take No Prisoners Washington is Next! I've said this before, but I don't think Dave Mustaine gets enough credit as being one of the greatest rhythm guitarists of all time. The lead guitarists usually get all the glory/respect. But Dave's rhythm riffs are so bad-ass and sooo creative. His rhythms usually go way beyond the scope of other more simplistic rhythm guitar riffs, like most rhythm guitarists are basically just trying to be a "treble" version of a bassist.

For about 5 years as a child, all I listened to was Metallica. Then I bought the soundtrack to the movie Last Action Hero with Arnold Schwarzenegger and “Angry Again” by }{V}{EGADET}{=}{ was on there and for about 2 years, I was like Metallica who? Lol. That was 25 years ago. Now I love both bands equally, but Metallica’s first 4 albums always seemed to just be beefier than any of the other big 4 bands. Megadeth was more technical and had a sharper edge, Slayer was Evil and fast, and Anthrax was just fun to listen to. Exodus is another contender with the beefiness though. Gary Holt is a of a guitarist.
