Going to school for PTA right now 1st Semester. Currently glued to my PC learning Muscle OIA w/ locations and this exact problem popped up in the left QL with my R knee same side as FAI surgery side but is always my QL on left side probably from not wanting to sleep on right side at night and the way I sit in my computer chair with posterior tilt to avoid pinching in the hip.

You already had FAI surgery? When was that? How did it go?

I was diagnosed with a hip impingement with flat femoral head, labral tear and hyperflexibility. It took over a year to find this diagnosis. I had the surgery over a month ago but the pain in the top of the buttock and in front of the hip up to the knee is almost worse than before. I have the impression that it is related with the psoas, do you have some tips to calm those throbbing and unbearable pains

Sorry to hear the pain is almost worse after surgery... Giving a few "tips" would be hard without personally evaluating you. I'd suggest checking out TheFAIFix.com for a program that will help you do a few self-tests and choose a custom program based on that. Hope that helps! Otherwise, shoot and email to support@gotrom.com if you are interested in 1-on-1 skype sessions. (More details here: www.gotrom.com/store/tLTaJHAL)

Tried it this morning, right side definitely angry. Once the ball got into the erector I could feel a pull under the SI, same with about half-way up the QL. I have cam impingement and anterior labral tear, been looking for pain relief for 4 years. I've had everything injected; all the epidurals, facet blocks, obturators, piriiformis, glute/sacral attachment, trochanter bursa, and tomorrow getting the ischial bursa done. Have had sciatica symptoms for all four years since slipping on wet grass running... My right hip has probably had the tear since I was 12 and probably contributed to my low back injuries when powerlifitng since it never worked correctly. Hips are so complicated. I'm envious of anyone with good hips. My left is side is perfect. Right is a disaster.

Healing the hips does take time and sure is painful. You mentioned before that you've tried the FAI Fix, how long have you been working on it with the program?

@@GotROM Think I did 3 months then I took a break. Lately, a few trips to a massage therapist found things I couldn't. Piriformis is stuck, adhesions and inflammation in the flexors, weak glutes. I was amazed how quickly the therapist could feel what was wrong which gave me more direction.

Glad you found a good hands on therapist! It's a big help!

@@classiclarry88 this sounds the exact same as what I’ve been dealing with for years from jumping and lifting. Have you found any solutions ?

No wonder how people can get worse....dont follow people who have no idea!!!!!
@GotROM4 жыл бұрын
No idea? I've personally lived through this and we have TON's of testimonials of people who have gotten great results with these ideas. We also aren't claiming that it works 100% of the time for 100% of people (nothing does)...but the principles are sound. Hope that makes sense?
