Hip pain, nutrition and the menopause

Kudos to you, Sir, for considering the whole patient, especially how women are impacted by menopause. My knees suddenly developed arthritis at 55. I’m eating much cleaner now and I enjoyed hearing your interview on the impacts of nutrition. Thank you!

I am in my mid 40s and I was having really bad hip pain and was actually shopping for a cane. I had my gynecologist give me hrt and the hip pain is gone. It also cured my irritability and I am smiling ☺ and feel hopeful and sleep better.

My Dr won’t give me HRT, she had a double mastectomy and won’t prescribe it. I’m 58, the pain radiates from my low back to my ankle. It’s not sciatica. I’ve been living with it for almost 2 years. 😭

I hada new hip put in and it is way woese than it was before surgery. I wish I had known. I would never advise anyone to get a new hip.

Sorry to hear about your experience. The vast majority of people who have a THR are very happy with the outcome. There is always a risk that surgery can make things worse.
