Nice thank you. I sat on a roller kneeling down and could really feel the effects. Lovely exercise to build on top with calm arm and neck movements and deep breathing. Quite soothing. Thanks!

thank you! i find the exercises wonderful! i wonder how often this is OK to do... e.g., can i sit at work with the roller with me most of the day and gently move ?? overall - how often is this good to do?? THANK YOU
@thefeldenkraiscenter9 жыл бұрын
+Sharon Siodmak This is a movement that could be done several time a day for just a few minutes. I have never used the roller all day with anyone, and think that may be a bit much. Glad you like the video! Good luck!

Hi Lori. Thank you for this video. I am working on better walking and this one is good for that. Can you suggest any others for better walking?

Please try the video for knee pain. It really isn't JUST for the knees. It is a sitting pelvic clock lesson that will help you feel great in the hips, too! Good luck, and thanks for the feedback!

Lori would this be useful for a new recipient of hip replacement? Thanks, Carole
@thefeldenkraiscenter11 жыл бұрын
A new recipient should simply sit long on a bed pillow. After 4 to 6 weeks post op, they can use a soft 6" roller or rolled up towel.

Hi Dr Malkoff. Is there a Fendelkrais routine for hip flexors (at the front of the hip, I believe the attachment of sartorius and rectus femoris, perhaps including others)? My pain started at the IT band on one leg shortly after knee arthroscopy, then moved up to the hip then to the other hip, so it is now bilateral. Any information would be appreciated.

So sorry for the late reply, pepe cohetes Please go to feldenkrais.com and you will be able to find all the information you need about how the Feldenkrais method can help you relieve your pain, including helping you chose a practitioner in your area!

Thanks, Dr Lori. It turns out that my problem is not muscular but rather hip osteoarthritis from loss of cartilage (more than 40 yrs of being active and judo, weight lifting plus genetics probably are at play). I will look at the site, thanks for your reply.

pepe cohetes I see patients with horrible osteoarthritis also, with great success = becoming pain free. The Feldenkrais Method can organize your movements so efficiently, the way gravity moves through your skeleton will change. This could very well relieve your hip pain! Good luck!!
