Most of the day and afternoon it wasn't busy. Just the night time when everyone got off work and arrived. I am pretty open to experiences, so it didn't bother me too much. I just can't video too much when a bunch of people are around. Mosquitos and black flies this time of the year can be a bit brutal. But cooler weather is coming and they won't be around much longer. I imagine Hipcamp can be a bit like Air BNB with some hit or miss spots out there. Never tried it, but will check it out. You definitely scored a good spot on this one. Do you find prices comparable to more traditional camping, more or less? Interesting drink tutorial. Not too much use for us as we don't drink alcohol... Trying to think of a passable non alcoholic version. Looks like a great night out though! Your meal prep on these tent trips gets real fancy. I feel like an uncouth barbarian over here.
@RVAHikerGirl3 жыл бұрын
Yes that right! I always say just that Hip camp is like Air BnB for outdoor lovers. The prices are a bit all over the place just like Air BnB. Some campsites are cheaper than the state parks while other are more expensive. If you go to the website just search for places in your state to take a look at all the different places and prices. Some of the camps are so cool.

@RVAHikerGirl2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t give the info for this particular HipCamp because I wouldn’t recommend staying at this one. Way too many issues happened while staying here with a property owner who wasn’t present or available by phone or internet to help with. The campsites were over sold and ppl were showing up with no place to camp at all times of day snd the middle of the night, the sites weren’t numbered and everyone was asking me where they should go. Not everyone had fire pit, which was advertised on the site that you would have. You couldn’t drive your car to the campsite and everything had to be carried in, again which was not stated on the website as the owners photos show cars parked at the sites. Too many trees in the way except for the very 1st site. I love HipCamps and staying at them all over the US but this owner has some work to do so his guests enjoy their experience and don’t have to manage his other guests who are staying there. (This is the only 1 I have stayed at that I have ever had issues with) I can recommend a few other HipCamps in MD if you send me your email. ~RVA~

What's the name of the Hipcamp site?
@RVAHikerGirl2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm not promoting this particular Hipcamp location. The owner overbooked through various websites and it became a problem later that night. Campsites weren't marked and it was a free for all with people trying to find their sites, causing people being in the wrong site. The owner was not on-site to direct people and wasn't answering messages when people were trying to contact him. Everyone was supposed to have their own firepit and that wasn't the case either. I will only provide links when I actually recommend a particular place. I hope that makes sense.
