I hope both the Nas fans and Jay-Z fans can understand how important this beef is for Hip-Hop instead of constantly attacking and dissing both rapper's legendary statuses. Both will go down in history as two of the all time greatest even if you don't like one over the other you can't disrespect and take away the others talent over it specifically Jay-Z. I may be a huge Nas fan and not much of a Jay fan and there’s several reasons why I not a huge fan of Jay-Z but I will always respect both rapper's lyrical talent. I'm still waiting for that collaborative album of the two. This beef was and still is legendary to this day. Both went in at each other's necks hard. Though Nas won the feud, Takeover and Ether are still one of the greatest diss tracks of all time and I'm still listening to the songs today.

For the record I stan both Jay and Nas. Jay is lightyears ahead of Nas musically, he's much more diverse and has the GOAT discography and by far the most consistent of all time. But Nas will always have the GOAT album Illmatic, the GOAT diss track, won the GOAT rap beef, and Illmatic made Jay into the artist he is today. Nas is the better MC, but Nas being the better MC does not mean that he makes better music though. Look at Eminem, phenomenal MC but his music is legimitately terrible after TES.

It always interests me that people say Nas is less successful this and that...🤔 The 2 just move differently. Same destination, different route/vehicle. Besides, i still think you hear people say that Nas' album is arguably the best hip hop album of all time. That suggests its still unmatched, so regardless of commercial success # etc. He achieved that at what, 19 just making his art? For all the albums put out by peers it's still unmatched?? 🤷‍♀️ Ijs I don't think he has anything to prove. They're just both great. Nas happens to have defined what personal success looks like to him IMO.

Pac and big died for this! As much as I see the level that runs this game, nobody has the lions heart they did, it wasn't business it was passion! What a blessing that these two men understand the political and overwhelming scenario they now have to hold down, without tupac and il say big they wouldn't be where they are and have the foundation blocks to be where they are! Only GOD can judge 🙏🏽
