A combination of not having social media and their sound being so gritty & grimy. These new kids have to compete with a million other people trying to crank out trap songs in their bedrooms over the Internet. Most modern dudes songs are danceable, 'Enter The 36 Chambers' in no way shape or form was meant for dancing or autotune. The shit was meant, at the time, to be the hardest, grittiest beats with the rawest bars over the top.

Wu-Tang songs are some of the first songs that got me to rap, alongside Biggie. I heard their stuff even before I knew who they were, and then kept hearing the songs around different places still not knowing who they were. Later I found them again consciously and instantly remembered the songs I had heard before and got real hits of nostalgy. Awesome artists, and they have really pushed the whole community and culture forward. They'll always be a huge inspiration for me.

This is it. I was mad about that last video, but the Golden Era MCs should deserve much more media attention like this video you put on. The younger generation needs to respect more the 90s sound of Hip-Hop, because without them the game wouldn't be the same like now.

younger generation should respect the older dudes, just look at rock - the 80s broke new ground for the first half of the decade and then artists got cocky and thought the sound from prevous decades was outdated but grunge and alternative came along which respected that the artists of the 60s and 70s could write some damn good melodies and harmonies and embraced the influences and music was 1000% better in 1993 than it was in 1987

When 36 Chambers dropped, it changed my life. I grew up to underground and not so underground punk/industrial in Ny/NJ. And yeah, I listened to the Beatie Boys but The Wu lit my hip hop fire. I was a skateboarder in NYC and that turned into me tagging buildings, learning break dancing going to Rocksteady competitions and learning from Crazy Legs and Mr Wiggles, and going to DJ competitions and rap battles from NY to Jersey to Philly. I was already in the culture loving it but the Wu Tang Clan spoke to me. In love with Gritty, lyrically driven, woke hip hop from that moment on. I buy every record, yeah record, that Wu Tang or it's members drop and I love the mix in my crates because of them. From the Ramones to De La Soul. Music is everything and I'll always be that punk kid from the streets loving on good rap music for the rest of my life. Wu Tang Forever.
