I used to spend a lot of time here. It was an amazing place to be. I would come to rest between my travels. Spent my first couple weeks with my wife up there at Afteroo. Now we have 3 children and own a house in northern California. Mama and Hippie are great people, changed my life.

@Frobbl7 жыл бұрын
I didn't say it wasn't better. I agree 100% it was "better." Living in huge cities seeing thousands of strangers every single day working from morning till evening to BUY food and a house, both things people could get for free if they really wanted to, is against the humans nature. Humans are meant to live in small tribes/communities having their own independence. Modern civilization is against humanities nature and will eventually collapse because of that.
@Wotevs5 жыл бұрын
@borntoprep I've done exactly that for 18months living by myself in a tent in the Australian bush... it's not as hard as you think.... you learn to plan ahead by understanding nature... I would wake up...collect firewood ...start a fire and only then would i be able to make a coffee...if I didn't check weather and no wood collected I would go without my coffee ( that only happened once...I'm a quick learner)...I also heated water like this for nice warm showers from a 20lt bucket hoisted above me...carried those same buckets uphill from my backup water supply....i spent 3 weeks in torrential rain climbing into a damp sleeping bag in the middle of winter.. I even had my 4 and 6yo kids 2 days per week the entire time Fuck the system that tells me I have to work, pay rent and struggle to put food on the table because I need to save face...when I lived in town my rent was $350 p/w...electricity was around $75 p/.. $0 rent in my tent..and without all the overheads i was able to live very comfortably while I worked only a few days a week....which i chose to do....I washed clothes in 20ltbuckets...grew food and dealt with naysayers who don't have the vision and ability to thrive outside of a system that does nothing but stress and devour those who play the game. Human beings are more capable than you think...you just have to let go of everything you have learnt and trust yourself and let everyone else doubt... I spent too many years working like a dog simply handing my money over to corporate theives... how many people are stuck in towns and cities that are homeless or behind in mortgage repayments...no food for their kids...wondering if they have enough money to get transport to work....depending on a system that has no interest solving it's shortcomings and that has no interest in you as a human being.

@@anaparada7219 Respectfully, I saw absolutely no drug use in this documentary whatsoever, and I doubt it's there. Drug abuse is rampant, on the other hand, in the conventional parts of the country, which has become unlivable for many. I share your dismay about the cussing, but sadly I hear that everywhere I go, including among preachers. I learned my Bible from a grandmother who swore like a house a-fire, so there's no reason to assume that the children aren't learning about God. As for the long hair, if you think it's ugly you're free to cut your own hair. You will notice that some of the residents have short hair, even mohawks. What I'm hearing here are a lot of unfounded assumptions. The reason the Bible says not to judge is that we never have all the facts--only God does. The wise know this and wait for more information. Which you could have had by simply asking the HIll Folk, right here, "Do you use drugs? And where do people stand there on religion?" At least ask before condemning people on mere guesses.

Wish he hadn't, ANYWAY he was a hippie as well. He was proud of being both. Anyway the flyer is from the "Inner-dimensional transitional transmission Commission of Agusta GA.
