I love that you put the feeling into words. I have no connection to any Palestinians but I also am living with guilt - when I eat, when I spend time with my children, when I change my babies clothes. I treat it as a reminder to make dua for them. As the days go by, I also think about how long their going without food and water. But when I make dua, I make it with certainty that Allah knows what is best, and we do not. Perhaps on the Day of Judgement, it will be us wishing we had their reward. May Allah hasten their relief and make them victorious in this world and the Next.

I am in the same boat, i feel like there is little to no support for the guys even among the guys, it's all a big money hustle in my part of the world and we're so occupied with gaining resources to attract women that we attract all the wrong kinds and then suffer at the hands of our own doing. Thankfully, by saying my daily prayers in the last 5 years have brought so much barakah to my life that I no longer care about those things or go above and beyond to get what I want and accept Allah's continuous blessings upon me so much so that I no longer care for what I don't have or the friends that I have lost simply by having values.

Hey sis I've been going through the same situation now.. we've been Best friends like for five years now and I just feel like if I stay in that group I might lose my Deen... yesterday I talked to them and told them I'm leaving it but- then they told how I've broken their heart and that Allah will ask me on the day of judgement and so- I don't what to do anymore if you see this please respond..I don't know they also told that they will change and won't do anything that is yk- harram or stuff So should I believe them and be with them but I'm afraid what if they don't and I lose myself again...

@@purink9590 hii ik you arenot asking me but people come and go all the time, you donot have to cut ties you can keep up once in a while but not engage in what they are doing if there are boys in your friends block those. ppl really do come and go and you will meet Allah alone, yk what really helped me was the ayah that friends will be enemies on the day of judgment except for those who helped eachother get gloser to Allah. leaving them for me was because i didnot want to fight them in the Akhira i tried to talk to them about deen but i was ignored. you can give them the benefit of the doubt and try with them if you donot see change just minmize your talk with them. and pray for them and yourself alot

Farah, thank you. I feel very similar to you. I am trying to cut ties with many people as well because I am in a phase in my life right now, where I don't understand the meaning of having them in my life, maybe I never did but I just ignored..especially seeing how 'careless' they are currently! It was fun when I was 21, 22 but now that I am getting older in my mid 20's, it disgusts me how nihilistic they can be. Everything they think about is food, having vacations and pictures etc.. I don't get it. They even treat me like I am thinking too much and being too loud and sensitive about many topics (Palestine, Kurdistan, Congo etc..). I feel like they are troubling my brain, without doing anything. The title 'unfriend them' really hit me on my feed. I even don't ruse instagram anymore (use it only for the news) as well just to stay away from them (since I cannot be as direct as you were -yet- I have to see them everyday at the university). this is sooo timely.. i had to say no more than once to my non muslim friends bcz they wanted to do sports with the opposite gender.. it took me a bit of time to just say no without thinking a lottt.. it really is hard sometimes when you know you're the only one setting boundaries & other muslim girls don't... so then they look at me differently & i always stand out as the odd one out.. i also had to say no to going to parties & hang outs in apartments of male colleagues.. its very hard to refuse knowing that they'll abandon you.. but nothing is worth it.. as someone who overthinks a lottt, the only thing that comforted me was that i should be more worried about pleasing Allah than pleasing people.. pls keep me in ur duas.. ❤i really needed this reminder may Allah protect you, bless you with His Choicest Barakah Rahmath & Hubb & keep you safe from all evill. I feel also that we are all family in humanity and I feel their pain, their loss. It hurts me. It drives me to want to help. I dont understand how anybody can just ignore this.
