I watched from her discovery and all you wonderful folks did to keep her alive to her first pool and then she was too big for anyone to lift, so you figured out now to solve that problem and then ONE DAY she was outside with her Mama! What strenuous days and nights! Even calling in NICU Nurses to get a line into her baby hippo skin!!! It was quite a journey. Now she has a little brother and she is 8 years old! AMAZING!! I am sorry that i won't be able to visit you. But even from afar, have been filled with 100 emotions just observing. Thank you all. You are sterling examples of what people and animals can accomplish together! God bless you.....and Fiona!😮😢😊😂❤

8 years -Wow! Doesn't seem like it's been that long! 🥰 So I guess I've got to ask the sad question on my mind... Will she be moved to a different zoo so to mate and have her own family at some point? And if so, about what age does that happen? That would definitely be a bittersweet time for us here in Cincinnati. ❤💔❤
