Since making this video I have had further tinkerage and have fixed the alignment issue on the decat by twisting the downpipe around a little.

Hi Daniel, this video is 2.5 years old, I no longer have the KTM 390 Duke. I didn't remap it though, it seemed to run fine, and no power loss.... but I think most would recommend getting it remapped to get the correct fuelling.

Hi. LOVED the video. I have one question though. Out of 10 (1 being the stock exhaust) how much louder is it? Also as a side note, aren't you meant to reuse the gaskets that are on the stock cat converter?

FlappyPants if you look through my videos I have posted a ride by noise comparison video of stock vs LeoVince. If the gaskets would have come off from the original cans then I would have used them but they were fused on. I'm not getting any leaks though and I have sorted out the alignment issues too so it bolts together really nicely now :-)

have you had any problems with rust? mine is literally orange after 2 years and i've had a leovince for my 50cc aswell and the restrictor literally broke off. I've only had bad experiences with this exhaust brand

No mate, but then I garage my bikes overnight. Try Harpic Power X10, will clean the surface rust off most exhausts

Hiya, I put the exhaust on before the bike was run in so I couldn't say if it is any more powerful, it revs all the way to the redline in all gears though and it is a lot lighter than the original can and de-cat. I am on standard mapping, I may look into a power commander for it but have no need at the moment.

Max Visser hiya, the de-cat works with any silencer that fits on the original catalytic converter so if your can fits on that then it will fit on this! :-) Thanks Max :-)

No mate, no rubbing. It took a little bit of twisting of the link pipes to get everything lined up but great once all set! :-)

Hiya, I didn't get mine re-mapped, but it would be advisable. Only problems I have had with the exhaust is the baffle broke (which LeoVince UK replaced under warranty for me) and I had a few issues aligning the pipe and can (which was my fault and not to do with the parts).

Awesome stuff! :-) I have not had mine re-mapped, but I do think it is advisable and beneficial to get it done. The PC5 is expensive but I think that there are alternatives also available which are not quite so expensive! :-) If you do get a PC5, can you let me know how you get on with it after getting it set up? :-) Cheers mate :-)

You have actually suggested a good plan... I could do with fitting the standard silencer this week actually as am taking the bike to a motogymkhana event and it needs to be road legal so it might quieten the bike a bit and help it get through scrutineering! :-) So I'll have a chance to show you what it sounds like! :-) Cheers :-)

It is always advisable to remap when changing the exhaust or air filter! :-)

No mate, the standard ecu self leans to an extent. A remap would be advisable though

Thinking about buying the decat for my KTM RC 125 2017, did it stay in place? Did you do something to FIT it correctly? I really need my bike to be loud af XD Thanks.

It did, I forgot to slacken off the downpipe from the engine block when aligning everything, once I did that I was able to move everything into the correct place, all aligns perfectly now. Do get yourself new exhaust gaskets for the clamps if you can't get the originals off the cat as it will blow a little if you don't which will mess with your fuelling.

Richard Crossley the can is very noisy even with the baffle fitted. You'd need to look at the LeoVince website to see if it is legal where you live.

Magnus Solvang on the LeoVince can the dB killer is held in with a small bolt. The bolt has a spot weld on it on UK spec cans which is apparently easy to remove

didier hello, the engine runs great but I have not run it on a dyno to see if it runs lean. I am planning on getting it dyno'd at some point and will adjust the ECU map if required. The engine runs smoothly all the way to the red line though. Thanks for watching :-)

That looks like a tidy job. Pity about the fit and the lack of gasket, and qc. I think you should be having a go with your supplier/Leo Vince.

Since riding it the issue with the baffle packing has been sorted but the bolt mount is no way going to be able to be attached to the frame. I will be contacting LeoVince though regarding the silencer clamp and the de-cat bracket. :-)

I think you should be ok, the can is lovely quality, it was excess baffle packing that was the issue, not had a problem since cutting that off. The bracket won't be an issue for you if you just do the can, and you may find if you did get the decat that you can adjust the front downpipe a little which may help with alignment. The Akra is meant to be a nice pipe, but I think it is more expensive.

M 310 depends on what you want to do on the bike. They are not really comparable motorcycles. I've not ridden the Yamaha but it has more torque and power although is a little heavier and more expensive. If we are talking looks then the 390 wins hands down but looks aren't everything.

It was just a strand of the exhaust packing that had caught up on the mesh, I had no issues with the silencer after sorting that! :-)

It fits fine mate, I had not slackened off the clamp at the header so it wouldn't rotate. All sorted after a second look once it had stopped raining and I was less stressed! :D
