Music triggers different things in different people. Some people get into music through soundtracks, so they associate music with soundtracks, which is a whole job in the music industry. Once again, as with many TOOL songs, the time signatures change multiple times... From 7/8, 3/8, 11/8, and so on... As far as the lyrics go, it's referring to the drummer (Danny Carey) being sentenced to 45 days in jail for simple possession of marijuana... While the judge who sentenced him, was also arrested for possession of marijuana, but got off without a scratch... Hence, "The Pot" calling the kettle black.
