I was diagnosed schizophrenic at 17 and got saved at 21. 2 years later I came off meds with medical supervision and have been off them for over 20 years. My illness was very spiritual, I saw demons as a child and my parents didn't believe me. I was oppressed, scared and alone, and as I grew I was on a path of drugs and self destruction. If Jesus hadn't have picked me up from the gutter I would surely have died a long time ago. Our God is the God of second chances, the only source of peace and love in this life.
