I imagine he didn't plan it to be this way...I am 37 and find myself living with my sister or being homeless. Those are my options. A tiny community that welcomes a single person with no children or other responsibilities would have been a dream come true. These are still illegal in so many states. This is the second video I’ve seen featuring this community. I envy the actual sense of community. In my neighborhood, garages are attached to the front of homes for the most part so people drive in, close their garage door and enter their home from their garage, just as Rich described. No one speaks to anyone else. Now that I’m retired and home all day I make a point to say hello to my neighbors if they are out when I walk our dog. Most just give me a blank stare. It’s creepy. Hopefully I won’t have to rely on them someday because I don’t see how I possibly could.

Very nice community. The house would probably look a little bit more cozy and appealing if it had an accent wall, or if the walls were not all stark white. Unfortunate that the picture window near the refrigerator has less than a 36 inch rise. If the bottom window height were raised to 36 inches or more, a pull up breakfast bar could be added that could seat two people (and they would be able to look out the window), and also serve as a prep space (game area etc.). Depends. I have heard nightmare stories about HOAs. I have lived in an HOA community for years, and it's good. Keeps our community clean, safe & quiet, and the fee is reasonable. The key is not to have overbearing or power crazy HOA officers. Our rules are common sense and not unreasonable. The rules in our community were established to help us maintain clean, attractive common areas for all to enjoy. Our property values stay high because homes are maintained, grass is cut, no broken down cars in the streets or driveways, etc. My community's HOA is not ridiculously restrictive. It does not tell us what type flowers to plant in our yards, or demand that we plant trees- or cut them down, etc. We have groups of neighbors who plan socials like BBQ get-togethers and ice cream parties. Our swim & tennis area is kept clean & functional with fees. The swim/tennis is optional. HOAs don't have to be a bad intity. It's the people involved in the HOAs who make them a positive or negative force.

This is what I envision when we downsize. Recently, I’ve been taking stock of our daily life and realized we really do not need as much space and stuff after all. There are only a few things we need on a daily basis. If we get rid of all the things we have not used in at least three years, we could move to a house a third of the size where we live now (and we live in a reasonably sized house at 1800 sq.ft.). One suggestion: if you swap out your hangers for those thin velvet-coated ones, you’ll fit even more hanging clothes in your closet.

We definitely need these communities here in Canada as well I love your's and your Tiny Home love the beautiful deck, the layout of your home main floor bedroom is what Id want at my age i am 65. the bathroom , kitchen sitting area 's are perfect Your blessed . community fire pit I feel is an awesome idea nice area to meet your immediate neighbours for a get together around the gardens, edible and non edible . The various colours of the homes I also love , their bright and give that homey friendly feel . A place I would love to live, ID feel safe further Id feel like I was living in a country area , ( I hate concrete jungles ). Keep doing what you're doing Rich

Very cool. Minimalist for sure! If you have lots of hobbies-pool, cycling, classic cars, painting, collecting old things, model trains, and so on, you’d probably want to buy a half dozen tiny houses😊

Very nice tiny house and lifestyle! A well kept “BACHELOR PAD”! I Love his front porch, as much as I love mine.❤️

I am amazed he is able to live in that small a living quarters. He keeps it very sparsely furnished. I used to live in a 350sf studio apartment. It was not easy, but I can see that it is doable. I would probably use the storage in that loft a lot more.
