The city of Quartzsite uses that mine for gravel and rocks, some of the local companies buy decorative rock from there!

We were out in that area once rock hounding. We must have turned off onto a trail somewhere because we didn't see the mine. But we did wind up towards the west. wound up driving down a wash saw a trail head out on the west side of the wash. road some back roads wound up in Blythe. lol

I've heard the marble mine is active again. If you would have taken the trail to the north before you got to the marble mine, it would have taken you to the Tungsten Mine. Interesting structure there.

Russ, you ask me to hold the camera for the opening drive-by shot and then you nearly run me over? Get yourself another cameraman! Lol! Glad to see you got over your stated fear of flying the drone on autopilot while driving, even if only for a little bit. I know the drone isn't cheap but it's a really cool perspective as you head out exploring, Russ. Would like to see more such footage. Thanks for pointing out the golf course. I thought you had mentioned it on an older video but couldn't find it on Google Earth. Now have a much better idea as to its location. Safe travels.
