I love Arizona. I didn't grow up there but spent several of my grammar school years there. If I had been old enough, I would have stayed there when my folks packed up and moved.

I used to meet up with my folks in Quartzsite and I loved it. Usually at this time of year you could see RV's as far as you could see. Tyson Wells was always a favorite of mine. Big tent was there. I see they have paved and widened the roads with sidewalks now. There were never bums/pan handlers around either. I just loved the whole atmosphere and maybe someday will get back. Your vids carry me over. 😃

Took my Jeep CJ7 down there a couple winters ago and ran a section of that Peace trail North of there, in the mountains. Last couple years we have been looking for a winter home so been traveling all over the State and have had a great time none the less. Enjoy your vlog for many years.

It's actually very comfortable temps this time of year down there. Last year I even had to wear my winter coat down near Yuma (Imperial Dam LTVA). I'm from Ontario and sure do miss being down there this year.

Dani, if this is your first ever camping trip, I'd suggest the La Posa South LTVA first. It has water, dump stations and garbage. Once registered at the LTVA, go way back and east (a bit) towards the mountains; it's more scenic and quieter back in further (not to mention being away from the dust kicked up by vehicles). If you're comfortable there, try boondocking at Road Runner or Scaddan Wash (both free 14-day BLM camping. Be prepared for cold overnights too.

It sure was a pretty sign you had to get gone on you folks. I hope whoever stole it has a conscience & brings it back so if I come visit I will know where to turn. Looks dead as a door nail out there, but still has a subtle beauty all of its own. Like that cute 'lil fella in your rearview mirror! hehe Have a good day!

I would bet the locals want folks to bypass this part of the trail and pick it up over on the main road a bit north of where Russ entered. Perjhaps that little section was simply a shortcut and the BLM took the sign down.

@@steviejd5803 5th wheel trailers are much larger trailers that attach directly to a pickup truck's bed (which has a larger, dedicated hitch in the bed). Standard travel trailers, typically, use a 2" ball hitch (which isn't capable of safely pulling a larger trailer like a 5th wheel) attached to the underside or back of a car, truck or van.
