Here's a really interesting one! Steel Vengeance uses the structure of the original Mean Streak wooden roller coaster from 1991! Oh wait, everybody knows that. Great video that helps me appreciate one of my favorite parks a bit more!

Great video!! There used to be a DJ booth in the Millennium Force and Mantis lines. I believe you can still see the concrete pad in MF line when you first walk in on the right.

You absolutely can see where the DJ used to be in Millies line. Oh the days of waiting FOUR HOURS for that ride....

The history of the CP&LE Railroad has fascinated me me for years. That one of my favorites.

Most of my visits to this park were in the 70's. This really took me back. Thanks for posting!

Another 2 historical remnants not mentioned in the video are the building in between Wave Swinger and Maverick was once home to the Frontier Carousel (1972-1994) which is now at Dorney Park and the covered bridge in Frontier Town was once part of the parks antique car ride (1969-2021)

Another good one is the White Water Landing remnants that you can see at Maverick. Pieces of the flume track still remain, as well as the original sign (now faded) and the White Water water tower.

I always take the Chaussee on my way in. there is one particular house that makes me feel some sort of way. I absolutely love it and I have to see it every time I go to Cedar Point. it's a yellow ranch style house with tan brick. maybe one day I will buy it. I need to know what happened to all the willow trees? it used to be like driving in a tunnel, they were so dense. now they're all cut back and a bunch of them are missing
@joshy21ableАй бұрын
Agree with your post- also the last few years the heavy storms have caused quite a few of those willows to fall. One storm this last summer caused about 4-6 to fall and have to be fully removed. We go 1-3 times a week so def noticed that happen. I’ve also just noticed over the years those willows thinning out and think it’s just because they’re getting old and the storms knock a few out each year. Saw your comment and hope you get this reply :)

I love this video series. It's always fun to learn about hidden gems. I never knew Cedar Point had a tramway. I thought those big things were lifeguard chairs for employees keeping an eye out for parking lot shenanigans and to kp the seagulls company.

Getting rid of the tram is definitely a stupid fucking move but entirely expected.

The Colosseum that houses the arcade is still one of the original buildings at CP. The snoooy shop next door according to my parents was San Francisco Earthquake. The Boo on the Hill house is the original show building for the (cheesy) Pirate Ride.

I remember the space spiral when I was little. I always thought it was too scary, but when I was finally old enough to want to ride it, it was gone that year. I hate that it's gone, a view of the park would have been so cool if only I had braved my fear of heights then. ANd there's no way I'm going on the power tower.

Magnum info is wrong being on the crew in 07 and 08. Maybe I misinterpreted it but that entrance it has now has been there way before 09.

Never realized the Chausse originally connected over there, tho looking at the map it makes a lot more sense why there's a random bar of land in that location :p

This is more of a Theme Park Nonsense topic, but yesterday I was riding Magnum front seat and there was a guy sitting next to me whom i didn't know. As the ride started he said something like, "I'm a bit loose. Don't feeak out." I said okay, not quite knowing what he meant and as we crested the drop this man pulls up on the bar as far up as it would go and stood up out of his seat for the whole ride until the photo flash. I was amazed this dude didn't fly out on the third hill inside the tunnel. Is this something that people do on these older Arrow rides or rides in general? He could have lost his grip at any moment. Pretty scary, but this guy was in his own little zone.

I NEVER knew the original Grand Pavilion was that building! I thought it was torn down completely decades ago

The background song that starts halfway through was distracting. My ears kept trying to focus on the words being sung rather than the main speech. Though that may be my ADD or one of my other myriad issues.
