Closure of the park will definitely benefit the wildlife. The flooding and other climate issues is Mother Earth and the animals will adapt to it like they done before. Life has come back to Mount St. Helens. It’s natures recycling process. I think it’s nice that the wildlife will have some peace from humans for a little while.

Thank you for this video & the info it contains. Frankly, Yellowstone should've already implemented a reservation system for visiting the park. There are just too many visitors nowadays for it to be safe for the animals & the rangers to be able to insure ppl follow the rules. Ppl don't respect the park rules & regulations posted to protect them & the wildlife. It will be a little easier for rangers to do their jobs if they can control the numbers of ppl visiting the park & have more info to identify exactly who's in the park & when they're in the park. The more info rangers have about visitors the more likely visitors might be to respect the park, the rules, regulations & the park's inhabitants. Also, rangers will know where to find offenders more easily, when they're reported by other visitors, as they always should be. Everyone suffers when just a few ppl break the rules. The wildlife suffers, as well. Everyone needs to report those who offend by feeding bears, wolves &/or coyotes, as well as attempting to approach them. Everyone should know "A fed bear is a dead bear". That goes for wolves & coyotes too. If predators lose their fear of humans they'll usually end up attacking a human & have to be killed. Those who attempt to feed &/or approach a buffalo, an elk &/or a deer should also be reported as they risk their life & also the lives of others. Grazers that are in rut will attack & kill humans on foot but ppl refuse to believe or follow instructions. It's an excellent course that Yellowstone take regarding reservations w/the addition of license plate registration & various restrictions to maintain better control of & further identify visitors to the park. Sadly, our spectacular park & its amazing wildlife needs serious protection from the public at this point in time.

With over 5 million visitors to the Park last year the wildlife will get a break. So true about the wildlife not staying in the park all year. Every spring and fall lots of the animals migrate out and in the park. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a limited amount of people allowed in the park each year. The park is getting loved to death. Please remember to pack out what you pack in. Every time I go to the mountains I'm taking home more trash than I brought in. Please pick up any trash you see. Doesn't matter if it wasn't yours. Don't drive off the roads or trails. Our lands need to be repected by all. We're just visitors. This is their home. Respect the wildlife. Buy a telephoto lens for your camera. Best way to see the wildlife in their natural surroundings.

@HomeInWildSpaces2 жыл бұрын
Nature does have the remarkable ability to regenerate. The flood is not likely to be detrimental to the park and other natural resources. Thought there were some riverside thermal features that may have been affected.
@jjkaiser19542 жыл бұрын
This ridiculous fire was caused by an increasingly dry atmosphere and landmass. This was not just nature, this was not just natural, we had a hand in such a blaze that burnt down so much of this park. Please don't forget that.

I’m a huge fan of our national parks. Yellowstone and Yosemite are my two home away from home get always. I remember visiting both parks in the 50’s and 60’s and how much different it was. My last visit to Yellowstone was in late July and early August in 2020. It was an absolute nightmare. Never in all my years had I seen such stupid people doing stupid things, especially when it came to interacting with the wildlife. What so many people don’t understand is when you have a negative encounter with wildlife it’s most often than not the wildlife who pay the price. There’s an unspoken call it “camper etiquette” which those of us who are avid campers pretty much know, respect and adhere to. I encourage all who are lucky enough to get the opportunity to visit our National Parks to educate themselves prior to your visit and once there PLEASE READ in information packet handed to you when you enter the park. A lot of time and effort goes into these publications, both for your safety and enjoyment as well as the safety and preservation of the environment. Let’s all work together to preserve our Nation’s treasures.

I am shocked as how ignorent we are . We are predators on the wildlife , even site seeing .and we are stupid not the animals . I think they need to limit visitation and people get a reservation . The flood was the best thing for the park .it was so dry . As for the birds well have to wait and see . I have never seen how stupid people can be as in the last few years with the animals . Another thing they could do is bus people in and have bus tours. But we are so spoiled , and are government is lost . Thanks for the info .

Those clips taken from the bicycle remind me of the chaos created by anyone on a bicycle. The entire park should be bicycle or vehicle but not both. One person on a bicycle if the vehicle traffic is bad can screw up the flow for miles as people try to pass on roads barely meant for opposing cars.
