Thank you for this video! I randomly stumbled across these old whaling stations just looking at remote places on Google maps and was fascinated by the immense structures and machinery littering the landscape, abandoned. I had to know more and that how I found this video!

Thankyou for this very informative film. The earth has few wild areas and the sea of the southern ocean and it's many islands must remain a wilderness. The animals need this and we need this. And our future grand children need this. Can you imagine what they would think if their cry is once there were whales...

I came here because I wanted to learn more about the South Georgia islands as they are written about in the novel Endurance by Alfred Lansing. This video is great and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about whaling. The bit on Shackleton was informative and bridges the novel to present day. Great work.

I’m developing a video game that’s set on Arctic island with an abandoned whaling outpost on it. It’s great learning the history of these outposts and it’s a treasure of info for adding legitimacy to my games storyline. Great video!

Do you need unity assets for this? I might have some that I made for a game (taking place on a fictional Alaskan island)?
