I just have to correct you there: Jack Kirby created the Silver Surfer without any input originally, from Stan Lee. This is well-documented in numerous sources, including Stan Lee's "Origin of Marvel Comics", where he admits to having never envisaged Galactus having a herald. As everyone knows, Stan lee then took possession of the Silver Surfer and wrote an origin story at odds with Kirby's plans. His asking John Buscema to illustrate it, instead of Kirby, added insult to injury. This was one of the major factors in Kirby deciding to leave Marvel as of 1970

Here's the thing with Norrin Radd? He should had the will to lift Mjonir in first place, just like Steve Rogers was able to without ever proving a thousand years or so to lift a mighty hammer! Because Radd's soul is pure & just.
