I love u guys enthusiasm 😂 Here's a little fact about Cannae : The Battle of Cannae, fought in 216 BCE, is known for its massive casualties. Around 50,000 to 70,000 Roman soldiers were killed in a single day. For another battle in Europe to surpass that number of casualties in a single day, it took quite some time. The next significant battle in Europe to surpass this number of casualties was the Battle of Stalingrad, which occurred during World War II. Same thing for the first Punic war's naval battle, it was until 1571 for something that big to surpass it 😁 The Roman Carthaginian war was truly a battle of titans such shame it's not well known 😢

“Walk to the side!” That would be dangerous, as you would want to stay on what have proven to be safe places to move (soldiers moving in single file when traversing a minefield). One wrong step in those marshes and you may suddenly sink.
