A Japanese manga writer said Shohei is a “stupid manga”😂 He said he would never approve the story if it was drafted because it’s just plain ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣🤣 We thought about that at the ending of WBC when he struck out Trout, again at 40/40, and now this. I just think some people are picked by God (Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan…etc) to make the sports extra exciting for us to enjoy❤

When his coach in Japan was interviewed, “What part of him impress you the most about Ohtani?” his response was not “pitching,” batting,” “fielding,” nor “stealing.” He immediately said, “His personality.” He said he was a perfect human being with such discipline and respect. The reporter went on and said, “Oh, come on! There must be one weird thing about this guy! Share!” 😂 but he went on saying, “No! I have never met another person as nice as Ohtani.☺️ He is so humble also.” This is one of the biggest reasons why he is so loved! ❤❤❤❤ Congratulations Ohtani 🎉

To reach 40-40 is rare and hard enough but 50-50 you got to have incredible power and speed (that's an all around player) some like Judge has power but no speed, Dal la Cruz has speed but average power, Acuna has speed but 40 is his limit (he was'nt going to get another 40-40 this year, before Acuna got hurt sliding on May 28 he was hitting only .250 with 5 homeruns and 8 steals) the 50-50 mark will stand for a long time.

what goes under the radar in the "greatest player " discussion is how Ohtani would perform as a position player if he wasn't pitching - because we just don't get to see that. @@mikekinsella2822Dodgers vs. Yankees would attract much bigger audiences. Los Angeles and New York are the biggest markets. Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts for the Dodgers - just to name a few, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto for the Yankees. Too much star power on both sides. LA vs. NY would be 🔥🔥🔥… far fewer people want Milwaukee and Baltimore, or Arizona and Houston…

A few decades from now, when older baseball fans and younger fans debate who the greatest player in history is, Shohei Ohtani will surely be a candidate. I look forward to everyone raising a toast in agreement.

I don't even like baseball, or really any professional sport anymore, but the headline caught my eye. Not everyday someone sets an MLB record. But for a _pitcher_ to hit 50 home runs in itself is shocking. Who else has done that, Jim Abbott?

There is no player in baseball that has been more dominant than Ohtani. I've seen games where he pitch/hit and beat the opposing team himself. This isn't football or basketball where one man can take over like that. It's insane.

I don’t know about that. Dominecans can play some baseball. There are great players from every country as the wbc showed. But they are taught differently. Their fundamentals are good. They can bunt, sacrifice, and move runners over to prevent double plays and get in scoring position
