Check out the "cheeky" music video. Angus is wearing a halo and is dressed like what Catholics would call an altar boy, while Bon is an Anglican minister.

Chuck Berry was the man. ACDC honoured him in 'Let there be Rock' as being the King, with the line 'Tchaikovsky had the news', which was a reference to Chuck's song 'Roll over Beethoven.' ✌😄

The video - Live from River Plate 2009 is a must watch. Angus kills it. I went to the London concert of this tour and it was incredible!!!! Will never forget it. ❤

I was born April 17th 1954.... Same month/year as Rock N Roll. Life has been great, I've heard it all (most) and seen most all the greatest legendary groups live since 1966.

Reminds me of the Movie "Crocodile Dundee", when the punk pulls a knife and Dundee says..... That's Not A Knife, This Is A Knife and pulls out a 15 inch Bowie Knife.... This song is that knife.

They recently released a video to the song Jailbreak. Just the studio version but it is cool to see them young.

Fun fact: during the final guitar solo, Angus Young's amp blew up while recording. Chuck Berry was a huge inspiration for Angus. You have to check out this same song Live at Apollo Theatre 1978! Every AC/DC song that has a live version from Apollo 1978, Donington 1991 or River Plate 2009 is, in my opinion, much better live. There are too many great songs to recommend lol keep rocking with these guys!

I cut my teeth on this version as a kid because it’s all we had. The stand-out live versions make it easier but you did an awesome job with it, JM. One thing about all these old albums that evolved over many years: they had sevveral great or memorable songs rather that the few we see touted continuously. Everybody could find something to love about every LP as they came out. I was exactly twice as old when the 70s ended (20) as when they, began (10). I think between that and going 900 miles away to boarding school at age 15 (1975) really amped up the people and things I had the good fortune to be exposed to. Wish you could have spent those years with my friends and me, JM. It was a blast and I believe I still benefit every day from what I saw and did in that period.

Many say a combination of Chuck, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis. I kinda agree, I have huge respect for Richard. Then there's earlier stuff like the Crossroads bloke, can't remember his name. Blues musicians (delta?) of the time said that he was a terrible guitarist, and then he disappeared for a about a year. When he returned he started playing stuff they've never heard or seen before, he had become a remarkable player which seemed impossible. Legend has it that he did a deal with the devil and sold his soul at the crossroads for the sake of music. This shaped rock and roll as we know it today.

One of those songs where you should have played the MTV video, with Bon Scott dressed like a minister, preaching his gospel of R 'n' R. Until his final leap, where he broke his ankle. Giving his all for the cause.

Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bill Haley, Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Big Joe Turner definitely, but the conversation regarding the first rock and roll song often involves Jackie Brenston (aka Ike Turner) "Rocket 88" (1951) and Goree Carter "Rock a While" (1949) and Hank Williams "Move It On Over" (1947).

Great song, great band! Saw them more than 20 years ago at the Spectrum in Philly, incredible! Brian Johnson was great, but I prefer Bon Scott’s vocals. Next check out their song Live Wire, released in 76. ✌️

Adolph Rickenbacker is credited as the first known maker of electric guitars - a steel guitar in 1932 nicknamed "The Frying Pan". In 1951 Leo Fender created the Telecastor and Gibson put Les Paul's name and design on their offering in 1952, then 1954 Leo created the Stratocastor to be better than the Les Paul.... many followed them and the rest is R&R history.
