Urartu recorded as "Biaina" was merely a phase within the kingdom known to Akkadians as Armani. It was also synonymous with the Assyrian word for the region known as Nairi. As the earliest Urartian kings called their lands Nairi, then 50 years later, new kings called it Biaina. Biaina was etymologically shifted to Vana, and Vanand. In ancient Armenian, Kh was L, and V was a B. This is recorded in our literature. Around the 5th century, no mention of this "Biaina" exists, instead Armenia is recorded by Achaemenid and Greek sources, and it likely derives from the Akkadian term Armani. So there is concrete evidence of Urartus connection to Armenia, they both referred to the same land and people during the same periods. Armani/Armenia also predates any mention of Bainilli or Biaina.
