I drove a corbitt. There was one in white swan, Washington. A 1942, one of 16 made, and one of two left, the only original one. Three axle tractor, with the 200 horse naturally aspirated cummins. Five speed main, three speed brownie, and a two speed high and low. And an exhaust brake.

My dad was Wallace T. White, mentioned toward the end of the video. I think that he would be very pleased with this. A very nice presentation !

I grew up in Henderson, NC. As a youth I toured the then vacant Corbett plant. My family attended church with the caretaker to the empty plant.

Thanks for putting up this video. I worked at a NC shipyard back in the 70's. There was a working Corbitt tuck there that had been converted to a crane truck. I had always wondered about the history of this company.

Now you're getiing into the really interesting stuff, most of the manufacturers you've featured so far are pretty well known outside of the US but I think it's more interesting to find out about those that aren't well known elsewhere around the world.

Growing up in Arizona, an area rancher had a Corbitt for 20 years (like the one pictured at 8:11) using it for his own hauling such as hay and taking the cattle to market. I remember seeing it a lot. He reluctantly parked it in 1986 as some parts were getting hard to find.

Never heard of them here in the northeast Those short nose tractors near the end of the video look similar to the White 9000 of the late 60’s to early 70’s

The narrator (a voice synthesizer?) has an annoying way of sounding like he (it) is constantly a little surprised by what he's describing.
