I believe the Frozen (time 3:14) audio-animatronic figures "AA" are not A100 series -- they are the new "all electric" - (the older ones like the A100 witch in the Great Movie Ride -- had used either hydraulic or pneumatic) ---

First Disney prop animation control systems (movement syc recording and playback) were mechanical not electronic. They were disks that turned like records on a record player and used a follower arm to ride along the disk edge. They would cut valleys in the disk and the follower arm would move in and out sending this moment to the animated prop. In the early years of the Halloween animated prop industry we called them clicker boxes. See here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJ6UdnlvhciMi7M

I love watching old footage of imagineers at work. It's amazing how far we've come from singing birds and tikis. Though I still enjoy the charm of Tiki Room to this day. The Dole Whip definitely helps too.

I'm surprised you were able to put so many cool clips in this despite your phobia lol but this video was SO WELL DONE and I learned a bunch and you always amaze me with how much research you do Sarah

Wow! The animatronics with projected faces are truly something else! I've notices Animatronics (mostly in non-disney parks) to be a bit still and abrupt- but these looks incredibly fluid!

I absolutely LOVE when you do Disney History videos!! They are my favorite, just like Down to Disness. So much awesome information that I would have never known! You allow me to be that snarky~smarty girl at Disneyland with family and friends saying, " Did you know..." LOL! PS- Props on making a video that gives you the creepies! 👍🏻

I love Thingamavlogs! I just discovered this channel the other day and I love the content on here - especially the D23 Expo videos - ah, the memories! I can't wait to see what kind of videos you post for this year's Expo! I also totally wish I could be one of your video people - I have shared KZbin channel with my best friend, and I would LOVE to be able to share some of my overflowing Disney knowledge with a greater audience!

I know this comment is a little late to the game but I'm pretty sure that the Frozen animatronics are the first ones that use electronic movements (don't know the exact term) instead of hydrolics! It helps them move a lot smoother but I think it took a while for engineers to get the system small enough to fit in the allowed space. My favorite animatronics are definitely Lumiere from Enchanted Tales with Belle and the first Jack Sparrow you see in Shanghai POTC (although that's probably more effects than the actual animatronic but still)!

I don't like the projections on the face animatronics. They look better sculpted and cast in silicone. The projections are a lazy way to do it.

Sarah, I would never say anything to hurt you because I have such a HUGE respect for you and if it came across that way I am SO SO SO SO sorry. I am worried however because you do have a very social life and i hope your anxiety doesn't affect your KZbin carrier. If you are doing well then that is awesome and i hope you make even better videos in the future!!!!!!!!!:):):)
