Don't blame Marvel and Netflix for staying consistent with the injuries he suffered at the end of season 1. Besides, I noticed an interesting parallel between the comic book Jigsaw and the MCU Jigsaw. In the comics, his face is in worse shape than his mind, but in the MCU, his mind is in worse shape than his face to the point where his memories are like a broken jigsaw puzzle, he can't remember how his face got scarred up and who did it.

@Mychal Prochnow The main Marvel comic book universe (Earth 616) and cinematic universe (Earth 1999999) are familiar yet different. Don't expect familiar characters from the comic book universe to be entirely the same as in the cinematic universe. He only had one side of his face shoved across glass, and the other side with a bullet hole. In the comics, his entire face was shoved through glass.

Truth be told, ALL of the MCU (not just the former Netflix shows) is inspired by events of the comic book universe. For example, the Extremis virus in Iron Man 3 came from one of the Iron Man comic book series in the 2000's. And the superhero civil war event that inspired Captain America Civil War was not about governments keeping a leash on the Avengers, it was about all superheroes around the world having to reveal their identities to the world because most people think an unidentified hero is an untrustworthy one.

Jigsaw was the worst villain in Punisher s2 - his face was covered with some scars as if cat scratched him. - all that bullshit with the mask - joker/harley relationship with his psychiatrist - at the end of Ps1 Frank says to him that he left him alive and mangled his face so that he could remember everything he did. Season ended and Billy Russo still didn't remember things he had done.

The Ramo JigSaw could’ve been literally anybody in season 2; and, nothing would’ve changed.. I expected some real strategy, brutality, and savagery from that villain.. but, the Evangelical Family was more horrifying than JigSaw, and more intriguing as villains.. that’s pathetic. The whole season felt nothing like The Punisher from season 1 or nothing near the comics- it was filled with social commentary out of a Buzzfeed article. I loved Frank, but he was basically Shane unhinged in this season..

Jigsaw didn't really appear much in Punisher MAX he only did briefly but was referred too as "The Heavy" and the story wasn't really that good it's called Girls in white dresses but other then that yes you should definitely read Punisher MAX again it's definitely the definitive Punisher run

I read some jigsaw stories. He is a slimy knifing little weasel that keeps managing escape death despite whatever you throw at him. He isn't bright, he is no kingpin, and always a yes man underling. You do in general desire to see him get killed. It pisses you off each time when you discover he isn't dead. He only survives because of good luck and strange circumstances. He's a good fit for a Punisher. It is a creep that somehow is hard to kill despite you handing his ass each time you fight him and whatever idea you use to eradicate him for good.
