He's actually a somewhat pivotal character to Spider-Man in the comics, and Daredevil as well(Although I don't know to what degree). It's just that it's a bit harder to fit him in the big screen stuff as it's usually a more-or-less experienced Spider-Man who goes up against him. If you watched the 90s animated Spider-Man cartoon you'd definitely remember him popping up quite a bit.

My favourite line about/from him is from the beginning of the last spiderman game, where he yelled something like "2 months! In two months you'll wish you had me back" while being arrested. A short line but tells you so much story. Meaning that as morally bad as he is, he is still a boss that holds the crime world in control.

Kingpin is in prison and Peter goes to that prison and beats the shit out of Kingpin like he was a child, just to show the rest of the inmates that he was just a beatable simple man.

The Kingpin is 6’ 7” 450lbs and can lift (press) approximately 650lbs, he has big ass hands; the official handbook says Kingpin has never once been Convicted; he has been jailed before but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence, he’s my fav Villain

90s X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and the JL/JLU that followed were the best. Easily the golden age of comic book adaptation animation. They were the launching pad for all the movies we see today. Spider-Man series introduced me to Blade, Capt America, Iron Man and even Daredevil.

I've always found Kingpin to be one of the more intriguing and sophisticated characters in the MCU. He's super rich, completely ruthless, has a genius level intellect, and can handle himself in a scrap against most heroes. Because he has so much pull in the criminal underworld, you don't wanna get on this guy's bad side what so ever or risk having your family go missing.

I think its the fact that he is so big and all that body mass is muscles so it just gives him insane amounts of strength. I think he is peak level strength like Daredevil and Captain America and these two can actually hurt Spiderman so Kingpin shouldn't have much problems. Besides that, Peter also holds back as he doesn't want to kill people. Its similar to Superman to an extent, Spiderman is strong enough to where he could easily one shot kill normal humans and tear them apart like a Mortal Kombat fatality but he's not a blood thirsty killer so he limits himself enough to where Kingpin can actually pose a threat, I have heard there was a Spiderman arc called Back in Black where Kingpin attempts to assassinate Spiderman but Aunt May gets shot instead so Peter, wearing a normal version of his black suit, tracks Kingpin down and destroys him because he was so pissed he was not holding back. Basically, Kingpin is a ridiculously strong human fighting a usually held back Spiderman, that is how.
