Shade the changing man has an amazing story written by Milligan. The early issues of jld were the definitive ending to miligans 70 issue run on shade the changing man. I highly recommend. One of the best stories that no one has read.

Madame Xanadu gathering Zatanna, Deadman, Constantine, Shade, and Mindwarp to deal with The Enchantress, a problem she herself was responsible for creating, with the intention of having them deal with several other mystical threats later on? That's basically the plot of Suicide Squad but with Amanda Waller gathering Deadshot, Harley Quinn, etc. instead. God damn it WB! Throw in some quick cameos from or references to Raven, Zauriel, Frankenstein's Monster, Phantom Stranger, Pandora, Swamp Thing, and Etrigan and you've got a much better movie than Suicide Squad.
