Very very cool and amazing show guys! Top Top Top! I wonder why you cats didn't mention the whole beginning of the Post War Modernist Movement which actually started in Hamburg in the late 40's early fifties with the Europe (Germany) based US and Canadian soldiers and Sailors and Air personnel who while stationed in Europe after the war brought their free thinking, independence, Blues and Jazz records/Music Style and attitudes to Europe where before the War no Europeans knew what life was like in the West. With all youth of Europe living like slaves almost, with no future, no real life, no real choices until the war levelled the European way of life and opened it up to a very North American Rebellious way of life that is still the mainstay of Europe and the UK today. Like how Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Beatles, Rory Storm the US Military personnel who were serving in Europe and playing Blues shows and Jazz Shows in clubs from London to Hamburg to Paris and the Kids in Germany that became the first Beatnics Post War Modernists which then spread to the UK via the Beatles and the Pacemakers etc of was it meant to be a focus on the British phenomenon rather than the whole story? curious as I am a History freak and a Rude Boy Scooterist since 1971 in fact would love to chat with you mad men sometime! nothing as rewarding than a good History chat up! cheers to you for this! The man speaks the truth. London was always tribal, but some people make it out to be not like that.

I played all this music on vinyl singles at various clubs and pubs in Camden town and the West end. I also used to go to 'spats' in 1984. There was a white breakdancer about 15 years old and he looked a bit Mexican with darker hair but I never knew his name. I thought he was the best breakdancer. Maybe I'll meet you one day. Cheers.

Another excellent watch brother Steve. A great insight for someone slightly too young to have been into that scene big time. Two tone Ska was my first musical love. Respect as always.
