Isn't strange how Chronos and Zeus both decided to believe a random prophecy that one of there children will kill them and slightly altered it for Odin's prophecy. All 3 believe they were going to die, it seems to be a common theme. I wonder if there's a greater threat out there, possibly trying to manipulate all the mythologies.

I think both Poseidon and Hades were wasted too early. Seriously these two are supposed to be some of the strongest gods 2nd and 3rd to only Zeus himself but they are essentially the first two to go.

I think it was perfect timing. Kratos is at his strongest at the end of GOW 2, and the first person he has to fight is Poseidon. I get what you mean, but i think they were also trying to show how strong kratos had gotten.

Another good point as to why Kratos & Gaia (unknowingly) needed eachother to kill Poseidon is this; the earth is almost entirely covered in ocean (Poseidons realm) and for hundreds of years he was called "The Earth Shaker" because of his true power.

Theory: Since at the end part of god of war 2018 at Jötunheim, There was a stone carving of Kratos ( Unless its another person ) in Atreus's arms dying and if so then kratos might end up at either Greek Hell ( Tartarus ) or norse hel ( Helheim ) ( Since they killed magni and modi Thor's sons ) and maybe the next game will bring us back to Tartus or we'll get brought across the bridge mimir said to not cross/go towards. Continuation if we end up in Greece/Tartarus ----> then we'll probably see what kind of situation Greece is in after kratos stabbed himself with the blade of olympus and ended up in Midgard. Best idea I have: After kratos's death he gets reunited with Lysandra and Calliope ( His wife and child he accidentally killed when he raided a village in the one of the first god of war games )

I think they did poseidon dirty. Poseidon is supposed to be extremely powerful. He shouldn't have been taken out at the beginning and the fight should've continued after he was knocked out of the water.

Poseidon death was a lot entertaining than Icarus getting his head rip off. Greek pantheon would have lived if they took Kratos seriously. Zeus sign all of their death warrants the moment he betrayed him. Greek pantheon God's gain power when people pray for their guidance. Yet? They brought doom too themselves thinking they can kill one man they actually trained themselves.

@@esbenorionpax8544 I see your point but Titans in MK are different from Titans in GoW. So her being an MK Titan doesn't quite mean she's a GoW Titan. But her being Mother to 2 Gods does make sense she's a Titan but then again her children were Elder Gods. Which are a class above Gods (Elder Gods > Raiden or Fujin) which could make her a Primordial... It's 2 completely different series (Aside from one crossover) with completely different God Tier Ratings. But an interesting topic of discussion.

Kratos couldnt even think about fighting gods till opening Pandoras box. Persphephone was a weak god and he needed Zeus gauntlet to beat her. His story is basically that of a demigod that aquired more and more power and overthrew the gods,the new game is trying to make you forget that in favor of the he "was born a god" bs and the former is a better tale the second is just fanboy shit
